Didn't snub Pep. Klopp had him on board during the season itself after multiple secret talks and meetings. So when we called, VVD basically said that he favoured Klopp and Liverpool. The Independent says we've ended our interest in Marquinhos and that he's signing a new contract with PSG. I didn't even realise we'd been linked with him, could he have been the super-duper top secret centre-back? The political tension between Qatar and the UAE may explain why it was kept so quiet compared to our other targets...
