It's Quiet - a new dawn

Haha not that bad if he breaks his Leg we' would have saved 50mill that we was gonna spend on a duck egg!:))
How about this instead :-) ...? We loan a player like Keita with a guaranteed purchase next year of 20m more than his current value. That way he's on next year's books and it'll be cheaper than waiting to buy him next season. Obviously the selling club don't get paid immediately so can't replace the player so you could loan them a replacement in the meantime... ok I'm going to bed!!!!

P.S. are we really going to spend nearly 300m this summer?

7 players averaging 40ish each (plus Alves)? That's 280m+. WOW!

No wonder we are stuck in negotiations. There's not much contingency funds ...if any.

Brennan on Talksport earlier said we are trying to sell of £150m worth so its half and half as we see with PL money we don;t have to be such pushovers and letting everybody go on loan.

A net spend of £150m would leave us more better of than it did last season if I recall.

£150m will be tough though. £100m I reckon is more realistic.

Nacho, Hart, Nasri, Bony, Mangala, having China come in for Nasri + Bony would be huge

Then the likes of Delph/Fernando/Kolarov should fetch City a combined £20m for the 3.

Iheanacho 25m, Mangala 15m, Bony 15m, Hart 15m, Nasri 13m, Unal 13, Delph 12m, Mooy 10m, Fernando 8m, Nolito 8m, Ntcham 7m, Kolarov 6m?, Sobrino 1.7m, Campbell 1.7m, Zuculini 1.5m

150m or thereabouts + 19m off wage bill from Caba, Sagna, Zaba, Clichy, Navas

Chances of selling everyone tho is pretty slim.

I'm no accountant but it makes me wonder if United have deliberately inflated their Everton purchase to try to influence our negotiations.
They have massive profits that need a bit of purchasing to bring tax bill down a bit (they did not even want cash for Rooney to Everton just his wages).

Probably not but who knows.

Sadly I think we would get more for Delph, Fernando and Kolarov than we would for Hart, Nasri, Mangala and Bony. The wages the latter quartet are on are so prohibitive that no-one can afford them without those players taking a pay cut. In accepting loan deals in the past we have made a rod for our own backs, and I suspect that other clubs will call our bluff right up until deadline day, which will in turn impact our spending. A great pity as Sanchez, Walker, Mendy and Barnard are likely to set us back another £160m minimum, on top of the £78m we've already spent. Something will have to give and I suspect that something will be a bid for a top centre half - a shame as that is something we absolutely need IMO, because relying on Kompany to stay fit would be an idiotic gamble.
The one I find most ridiculous in terms of emphasising the point is Joe Hart. Whatever his shortcomings, he's still a proven Premiership winner with years left in him, and for no-one to be looking at him is crazy. A Chinese bid for Nasri or Bony would be a Godsend, but I'm not holding my breath. It's a good job the Academy and the policy of buying youngsters is kicking in, cos Kelechi, Unal, Ntcham and hopefully Celina netting us around £45m has been a real bonus. Any ITK's or finance gurus out there know how much we would have available to spend if we got nothing for Hart, Bony, Mangala or Nasri?
