I think some people are over-thinking the young comment.
He said decadent just building a team for now, we are building a team for the next 3, 4 or 5 years.

Starting to doubt Bertrand is the LB option. Especially if Peps comments on us wanting young players is true.

I don't think Bertrand is realistic. Southampton just watched us pay £50 million for England's first choice right back why would they accept less than that for England's first choice left back? They have told Liverpool to fuck off all summer unless they pay up for van Dijk they would do the same for us.

He's a defender.

We're keeping an eye out on Goretzka...but again a big part of this is his contract. He has one year left. Arsenal also want him so there could be some sort of gents agreement where they play sensibly with us over Sanchez and we do likewise with Goretzka. As is the case with most quality young German players, Bayern could just take him. And also RBL. They've got a good amount to spend this summer.

Bumping this. We have stepped up on Goretzka (hence today's story) although I think it has something to do with Arsenal's current stance on Alexis. Bit of bluff calling on our part. Watch this space as Arsenal really want Goretzka.
