It's Quiet - a new dawn

We can do that better without going to the States & helping Utd sell their product.

If we started putting pre season and even community shield into "must win" categories I will feel like we have lost the plot as a football club. If we start playing fluid, attacking football when it matters, the right fans will come to us and stay with us.

Nice 1.

But tbf to the rags, they understand that if you are selling an artiste or act, you have to actually give the audience something which impresses them.

We are very much the first band on at the festival, in the company of Utd, Real Madrid etc.

Yet we are the band who turns up under rehearsed with a stand in drummer & the ex bass player returning, pissed up, for a one off appearence.

If we were trying to make an impression, we should have had a side ready to beat them.

If we are not, we should be playing games purely to run in the players, & not playing v Utd & promoting it as a big game.

They will have gained more new fans than we did, on that game & they could actually play a 2nd 11, lose 4-0 & get away with it, because they have already 'made it'.

Mourinho told the world there was nothing on the game (in case they got beat) then played his strongest side & beat us confortably.

No idea what the fuck our plan was.

Made me chuckle this one KK, although i am not a fan of playing our scummiest rivals in anything resembling a friendly, we are a business and this tournament generates a lot (and i mean a lot!) of revenue, plus widens our exposure to a huge market and finally, is an excellent pre-season exercise to get our players in shape for the long season ahead. Not forgetting, valuable bonding exercise for the new players....

I get your point, but for me, the plusses outdo the minuses........... just!

Maybe, but for every new one we got, they will have got 2 or maybe 10.

We should be back earlier & fit, if we are playing Manchester Utd in a pre season game in order to sell the 'product' imo.

So get some of the players in a week earlier, like Utd did.

I am with you in that I don't ever want to play them in a friendly again. Just watched their match against Real Madrid. Real played their kids too. United their first team pretty much. They are wankers.
