It's Quiet - a new dawn

Surely as a business, that is a football club, there's an argument to be made that monetary gains come from having the best and most famous players continue to play for the team to both build the global profile and help win prizes domestically and abroad.
Getting a one off payment for an asset surly isn't the better model for a team still on the way up.

Yes, most successful clubs usually have 2 or 3 players in the squad who are past their prime in monetary terms but are still very influential.

I think every City fan must wake up happy at the moment. We've done what we had to do in this window. There are one or two areas in the team we might worry about, but really this window has set us for the next five years minimum. And what makes matters even better is the activity of our rivals.

Arsenal
Sead Kolasinac
Alexandre Lacazette
Craig Pawson
Blobby Madley

Chelsea
Willy Caballero
Antonio Rudiger
Tiemoue Bakayoko
Alvaro Morata
Anthony Taylor
Andre Marriner

Liverpool
Mohamed Salah
Dominic Solanke
Andrew Robertson
Michael Oliver

Manchester United
Victor Lindelof
Romelu Lukaku
Richard Scudamore
PL
UEFA

Tottenham Hotspur
The FA
Mike Dean

Fixed.

nah i perfectly understand the possibility of the club's thinking of selling sergio but don't agree with it. Kun is a modern day legend of the club. we should build a statue outside the stadium for him rather than throwing him out at the first opportunity possible. imo that is what differentiates a historic club from a temporary money making business.
Every fan would agree, but sadly football today is a business and will behave as one

two weeks to go. Panic on the street of Anfield Rd

They're not waiting until they qualify, or not, for the Champions League are they? I would rate them if they got VVD though.

Nope, really disappointed we've not addressed the centre back and defensive midfield positions, which apart from the full back positions were the next highest priority. It appears our cunning plan is fingers crossed Vinny stays fit, which is a huge gamble imo.

We have Fernandinho and Yaya as the stop gap DM for another year. Plus IG might even be first choice DM... We were never going to be in for a DM after Yaya resigned which was a good decision on the club IMO. If you think about it a top class CB was never going to be a huge priority either. We have Vinnie, Englands brightest young CB, and nico. Why would we spend 60m for a CB?
