We're definitely still light at Cb, FB, and CM... but we've also had a very good transfer window thus far. We'll see if Txiki and Pep make any moves before things shut later this week.

My guess is we get in a CB and call it a window.

I have heard Jonny Evans called many things but never a window ...... maybe because he is a pane to watch ?

I'm happy whatever happens this window to be honest from here. We are stronger than last season by some distance, and that'll improve us enough to challenge. Signing Sanchez just adds to the fire power (yes I want it, but I'd not be devestated without).

We don't need a DM mate. Playing 3 at the back that role becomes the job of the central CB. The player in the traditional DM role should be a release valve. Gets the ball and quickly dstributes it. Gundogan and Silva would be excellent there. If we were a back 2 rather than a 3, then yes, you need someone with a bit more steel, but we need a Modric player in front of Stones rather than a Fernandinho.

He simply isn't up to playing the role. Not a great mover without the ball, and he's jamming up the lane in front of him. Fluid movement is exactly what's required in there, and unless he has the ball then Dinho just camps and waits for it once he finds space, but in this system his role is to make space by moving, not be in that space.

Then the system should work with Gundogan in the side. He has the intelligence and class to nail it. I am not so sure, but there is only one way to find out and as much as I didnt like Pep playing Sane at lwb against Everton, his changes and tactics were brilliant to see us go on and dominate despite having 10 men on the pitch. One thing we need to do is track back and fight to win the 50-50 battles more. With Walker and Mendy in the side we have enough men who will do that if Stones, Kompany and Otamendi are on the pitch though.

he would take the glaze off a great transfer window. he does have a safestyle about him. maybe if we buy him we get one free?
