Yep agree with you but that record would be much much greater if he wasn't injured or banned & this season he has been frustrating in front of goal.

Everton, Boro, Liverpool, UTD, Spurs, Monaco home & away only a few mentioned where he was off target many times.

I would like to see play with Jesus & Sanchez but that ain't going to happen.

Not only is it not going to happen but I think Aguero is a better player than Sanchez.

Sell Hart, Bravo, Nolito, Mangala, Bony, Nasri; Fernando, Delph and maybe Iheanacho for about £80m

Add the £10m remaining from the original £250 (that they say Pep will have) to the £80m or whatever we can get from the sales of these players, and you get £90m more spend.

Then bring back Maffeo (19 yrs) and maybe Enes Unal (19 yrs).

Then we'll have

GK: Pickford/Rulli
RB: Walker/Maffeo
CB: VVD/Kompany/Stones/Otamendi/Kolarov
LB: Rose/Kieran
DM: Dier or Weigl/Yaya/Fernandinho/Gundogan/Garcia
CM: De Bruyne/Silva/Gundogan/Fernandinho/Yaya/Foden/Diaz
FW: Sterling/Sane/Aguero/Jesus/Unal/Sancho

We could use that additional £90-100 for someone up front like Sanchez (or someone else) or for another creative midfielder like Isco (or someone like him).

Just in theory, doesn't work in real life.

No way he banks on Bravo alone. There's way too much at stake for Pep next year for such a risky gamble.

Perhaps @tolmie's hairdoo can back me up on this, but I have a feeling Pep will be out for blood and our incomings will be all proven quality, with the title in mind. Again, I'd be very surprised if the club is going to deny him the very best squad, that fits his style, that is available.

I don't like the thought either, but I can't really see us spending 40+ million on Ederson without making him our first choice keeper. On the other hand I can't see Bravo accepting being number 2, so the Bravo/Ederson combination is hard to see.

Clichy, Zabaleta and Sagna are all out of contract and will most certainly leave.

Kolarov will probably stay as he still has one year left, but he will be a reserve central defender if anything I think.

Mangala will be a player we will see we can some transfer funds from. I also would not rule out a swap for Gaya, his teammate at Valencia who can play left back.

I see your point, but Bravo was always a stop-gap in many ways, never the long term (young) keeper Pep wanted. I think Ter Stegen was probably our first choice last summer and we ended up accepting Bravo.

You're probably right that Bravo won't be sold, and it seems from reports he wants to stay and make a success of it, but I'm not convinced Pep will stomach another season of question marks in a position arguably he would rather not deal with at all.

There's a lot of smoke for there to be no fire on Ederson, but people have a point when they bring up the likelihood of Pickford being a third of the cost. That's a big gamble for Pep, but if it's a difference maker in meeting our targets elsewhere...

Still, there's just way too much to suggest it's Ederson though, he's the perfect fit for what we're building too.

The fee Benfica wants is ridiculous considering he has only ever played in Portugal.

We have too many positions - likely 6 or 7 - to fill and can't blow £40m-£50m on them all.

Pickford for all the goals his side have conceded has been one of the better goalkeepers in the league this season and is at least proven in English football. City and Pep must have seen something that they like.

Some aspects of KDB game need to improve but for me he always wants the ball and trys to pass the ball forward quickly which is what I like about him

It's funny that, because him not always wanting the ball is my main criticism of him. In the derby he completely disappeared for long spells and was offering no option to the defenders or Yaya. He does it often. Even last season when he was flying, in tight spaces against packed defences, he wasn't interested in receiving the ball and regularly hides and goes missing.

He does try to pass the ball forwards and quickly, no doubt about that, and he's brilliant at it when he's counter attacking in to huge spaces. But when he's in tight spaces he's often not interested in receiving the ball, and that's what makes him a level or two below Silva.

Totally different players but both world class at what they do.

Sanchez in the City team without doubt takes up another level but we need 2 fullbacks in 1st ;)
