Ter Stegen has been exceptional for Barca, but has still conceded 81 goals in 85 matches, compared to only 44 goals in 75 for Bravo with the Blaugrana.
Obviously Ter Stegen played in the CL and cups, which Bravo never did, but narrow it to La Liga only and it's still 31 goals in 36 games for Ter Stegen (.861 goals per game) and 41 in 69 for Bravo (.584 goals per game). Bravo had a La Liga rate of 57% clean sheets, while Ter Stegen has only managed 42%.
Either which way, Bravo is an elite keeper, one of the best with his feet and a proven shot stopper. So what happened? He struggled to adapt IMO, his lack of English and a defence struggling for shape without Vinny put him in several bad situations. Then the loss of confidence.
If he really does want to stay and make it work, then fair play to him. He has the ability, if nothing else, to do it.
