Arsenal say sanchez isn't for sale. It's just clubs trying to look strong in front of fans. Same reason Liverpool and arsenal put in bids for mbappe knowing full well he'd never go. Clubs can say what they like if the player wants to go it becomes difficult to keep.

So, as their have been no signings for weeks, it would seem that City are very sure that they won't lose the Court of Abitration for Sport next week.
