Still no concrete links to a centre-back. Surely the club realise we can't rely on Kompany to be fit? As soon as he gets injured we become a far weaker side.

We have 4 centre halves, full backs and goalkeeper were the problem areas last season, if we could bring in a top left sided centre half to replace Aleks or Ota I wouldn't say no, but it's low down the list for me.

yea i agree to defensive. thats the only way you can fit them all in.

Tbh I see tactics (up until after the Everton match) and lack of cover in wide areas as the weakness, I think our centre halves played well. We'd been improving match by match before Vinny came back, so it wasn't all down to him. Don't mind having Vinny and Stones as starters with Ota and Kolarov backing up.
