Bernardo Silva is one that's flown under the radar a bit considering the other Monaco players City have been linked with.
Maybe 3 at the back going to be used a bit more next season?
Also a bit surprised people are already consigning Kun to the bench. If we've just finished the season as we mean to start the next one, why did Pep put Sergio straight back into the starting line up after he came back from injury? He was our best player in those games too.
I'm hoping to see more of Kun and Jesus starting together -- especially in the big games. Really like the combination and goals they bring. They are the two guys in the squad --as it is now -- likely to start that have a real hunger and knack for goals. Generally all the really top teams in the world have three of these type starting.
Alexis still for the third goal scoring threat? Some have said this is less likely with the Bernardo Silva (probable) signing even though he seems to be more creator than finisher. But let's say for argument's sake they are on the money.
Apart from Kun, the goal scoring forwards we are most likely to keep are all young inexperienced lads. Gabriel has goal scorer written all over him. Sane could be that moving forward. Sterling not there yet. Kelechi's a scorer but not likely to start (if he stays). Surely some experience is needed.
If not Alexis, then who?
Should Pep be happy with the Sane-Aguero-Jesus combination (which has looked classy), is there an experienced goal scorer running around that would fit and be willing to play a rotation role for these three? Someone who would not be another Nolito (strange one that one, seemed OK at the start)?
Plenty of inane ramblings there, I know, but thoughts anyone?
