Want to go back to the day someone decided Rose was any good and put a bat up the nightdress of whoever came up with that alternative fact
Rose himself isn't gettable as we will find out this summer
There isn't a full back who is better than Rose at this moment who is also gettable , as we are looking at four players potentially , all out of reach
My opinion is you find someone younger with the potential to be better or at least as good, perhaps Grimaldo or Gaya both could be had for £30m ish, thats if you want an out and out left back
Spot on Rose is the best left back in premier money wise not bothered how much we pay we getting a quality left back.
Main reason I think he's the best option, he's prem proven in a high energy pressing team so I feel his transition will be almost non existent.
Can't see Rose wanting to push to leave to join us. Pep would be the only thing that may change that, or Spurs selling other stars and showing a lack of ambition. Still think it would take a Barcelona, Bayern, Madrid to tempt him to push for a move. Wouldn't mind being wrong though.Spurs has a stadium to fund Levy will sell, all it takes is Rose wanting to leave and its on.

That's all good and well for fantasy football. In the real world we're going to sign a specialist left sided full back this summer. Pep prefers balance so the left sided player will be left footed.
Let me know when you come up with one who's actually better than Rose, costs less, and is gettable.
Many Spurs fans will cite him as their most important player, pre-injury, but the only thing Rose has going for him is his nationality. If he wasn't English then, for us, it would be a low-ball bid when (particularly for the hefty price tag he will command) superior options are available that would also integrate far better into Pep's system (Grimaldo, Bernat etc) along with being younger.
He would obviously be an upgrade on the nobody (Clichy? Out of position Fernandinho?) we have there right now, but the only reason I can think of to target Rose is that he's a good left back who happens to be English. His pass accuracy, possession percentage, key passes and dribbles attempted/completed are below the competition and are lacking compared to what one would expect from a Pep-side left back.
You have gone from ''arguably the best l/b in the world' to 'a gettable left back who is better than Rose'. Not actually sure he is the best left back at SpursI'm not easily embarrassed big man. You crack on though, and be sure to let me know when you think of a gettable left back who you think is better than Rose.
I love your stuff mate, but I completely disagree with you on this.
Sandro is a better left back than Rose , but it is as difficult to get him as Rose.
Guerreiro from BVB is a quality attacking fullback, he has the football brains to suit Pep's system and he'd be half the price. Maybe currently he is not at Rose's level but everything about him suggests that he can easily surpass him.
It was completely understandable to spend that amount on 20/21 y/o but not on a freakin 27 y/o LB!
We can get both Henrichs and someone like Guerreiro for that amount and they are both very young and versatile footballers that would flourish under Pep.
Having said that, if we were talking about something along the lines of 30-35m then it's a no brainer.
I think we have to do a lot of business this summer and spending 50 on a LB doesn't sound very smart.
