Neymar? Fucking hope not the diving wingeing little shit bag! Would spend half the season banned for simulation in the premier league
 
Neymar being linked with us just means he wants a new contract with barca. he's not leaving barca this summer but will get a new and improved contract this summer
 
Neymar isn't really being linked to us. Some random know-nowt on Twitter got a message from another random know-nowt suggesting Barca would flog us Neymar at half his release clause.

I know tolm has hinted a bit in the past, but there's nothing to suggest any veracity in the claim at present. Sanchez is where it's at.

The truth is the only way we get Sanchez (or a Neymar) is if Aguero or Sterling are leaving.

As much as I have talked about Aguero previously not playing to Pep's standards in the new system, he really came around in the last few months and I have come back around to thinking he can contribute (beyond goals) to our play next year. And I think Sterling is really undervalued on here and is still developing into a top tier player (maybe not world class but definitely of the quality we require for our squad). Pep needs both world class and very good talent that fill very specific roles (whilst also being positionally flexible) for his system to function correctly and I think the new Aguero and Sterling tick those boxes.

I don't really want to lose either player to accommodate another name brand.

I wasn't implying he is leaving, I was saying that the only way I see us getting a marquee winger/CF is if one of Aguero or Sterling leave. Which I don't think should happen.

Contracts are renegotiated all the time these days. As soon as any player has a good season the agents are knocking at the door asking for their 10% extra

Ahh ok. Just seen sterling's name get chucked in and thought i'd missed something. It's hard to keep up with the pace things are moving at recently.

No a problem, mate—things are definitely shifting pretty quickly as of late.

The other side to my argument, for clarity's sake, is that we have to have some English/HG players both for squad rules and PR/Marketing purposes. There aren't many top class English players out there (despite what some deluded United supporters might say) so we shouldn't be selling ours.

Neymar's not coming - but we aren't selling Kun and we're buying a world class forward (Sanchez most likely). Squad is being built to win multiple titles every year and compete with the likes of Barca and Bayern. People should stop worrying about us having too many top players. We probably will this upcoming season but after the season Pep's just had I'm not surprised.

Yay! Thank god for that! Really don't want neymar and hope we can add Sanchez to the squad and that lot will cause some serious damage next season!!
