Judging character can always be a pretty subjective thing mate. Chances are, if you met me, you would think I was a c**t! :-)
lol, I'm sure you're a nice **** though :)

Yeah, some do some don't, Casillas seems to be past his best, personally I think Hart needs a new start and hope he does well. I will certainly always wish him well for what he did in a City shirt.I get what you are saying, but sorry mate, same doesn't apply to goalkeepers really, they can and normally do go on for years,Sagna was a more than capable backup/replacement for Zab when required, which keeper challenged Joe ? None cause none where capable,he was replaced by someone who was meant to be better and fit the system...............we all know how that panned out
According to NMC post13795 a couple of posts up Pep had nothing to do with getting shut of Joe. Who is right you or him? Just interested to know how Joe was pushed thru the door.and why Pep finally got rid of him. I
It's funny you mention no one challenging Hart, because he had to be dropped twice - once for Pantilimon, once for Caballero - because he'd lost form.
What other keeper in the world, supposedly one of the best, needs to be periodically dropped in order to keep performances high and stop complacency setting in?
I've never known De Gea, Cech, Courtois, Lloris, Buffon, Neuer, ter Stegen etc. to be dropped because their coaches think they need a wake-up call.
I loved Joe for years, but when he leaves and you see him play in a different shirt, the blue-tinted specs come off, and you can see that actually there's a reason why no one outside City fans ever really thought he was one of the worlds best. You see how he did actually make a lot of clangers that he was forgiven for because of the occasional game where no one got past him from close range.
IMO Hart was a good keeper for us, but I see why Mancini wanted Begovic, and why Pellegrini wanted Caballero, and why Pep finally got rid of him. I believe he lacked the fundamental skill that the worlds greatest players have, improving your weaknesses. He never fixed the problem down to his left, he never got better at dealing with long range efforts and he never improved with his feet. He did this because he didn't need to, he was guaranteed to be Man City's #1 and that was enough.
So he stayed at the level he was at until a coach arrived who thought that being so bad with your feet in 2016 was not acceptable, a conclusion even Mancini reached if you believe the rumours, although with Pep, he came up against a manager who hadn't made enemies of his superiors and took his side.
He will be remembered as part of the great Mancini team, a great performer in our early CL days when others went missing, but I think when he goes to a PL team next season more of his defenders on here will see what he is without the tinted specs, a flawed player despite everything great he did for us.

Remember,he's still one of us at this moment in time, still one of us,so pick back up the blue tinted specs and have a bit more respect for a City legend, and De Gea never been dropped ? Really ?
And he was renowned before Mancini came ffs
So you want me to discard even handed opinion and be irrationally positive about Hart because he's still a City player on paper (and on paper alone)?
No thanks, I prefer not to throw away objectivity because someone was in title winning teams 4-6 years ago.
Also no, De Gea's never been dropped because of complacency. He got taken out of the firing line by whiskey nose when he was a 21 year old struggling to adapt, but he's played pretty much every United game since 2012/13. That's the kind of thing you wouldn't need explaining if you weren't wearing those blue tinted glasses.
hart is so over hyped by man city fans it is ridiculous....hes never been one of the best keepers in the world.....ever
I'm a City fan mate, have been for years, and I know a good un when I've seen one, granted there have been plenty of bad uns as well,no objectivity required, and why you so uptight regarding the rag ? Now there is an opportunity for being objective
Is this a joke comment? Or has your argument literally devolved into "leave him alone, he's a good 'un!!".
Sorry, if you'd just told me how Joe's one of the goodun's I'd never have bothered trying to talk about his footballing ability.
it was worth a shotI almost chuckled
Nobody is saying he is world class, but he's been our best for years and years, agree ? Or are you an intruder ?
Can I ask you a serious question....Are you a City fan or just a general football fan ? I'm being deadly serious as well
