It's Quiet - a new dawn

He seriously gave the laziest effort at OT last year and had he given 2 shits Everton would've won that, so now they all of a sudden think he's a world beater...

This post from Twitter - when it looked like he was going to Chelsea, perfectly sums them up...

G Jesus 27m.

Lukaku 100m (all told with Rooney and the bonus bollocks).

Utterly laughable and cringeworthy.

Giving Everton all that coin isn't the smartest move either. Scum only finished 1 place above them last season.

The Scum truly are dickheads of the highest order.

If Sandro hits the ground running they'll have a decent striker plus 90m to play with on top of some already impressive transfers.

Clever business by them this summer for sure.

I think they've sensed Utd and Arsenal are there for the taking this season and have gone all in to try and surpass them.

Interesting times at Goodison.

Now that average/good players are going for north of 50 million it will eventually lead to a major issue for the transfer of top players.
75+ for lukaku is a joke.
The very top players will soon be unbuyable!.
200 mil plus, for two arms and two legs.50% of turnover would be silly.

Better to keep buying potential and selling them on with buy back clauses.

Good post. Yes the game is awash with cash but its borderline ridiculous the transfer fee's we are now witnessing for even average and good players, let alone the world class players available.

Makes our buys of late all the more sweeter though when you think what we have paid for some real crackers when someone like Lukaku is going to cost possibly 3 times more than what Jesus cost us and thats just one you could mention.

If you check in on these threads you will know that your attempt to use accurate historical perspective to dampen the false deadlines is wholly unwelcome. This thread feeds on the frothy panic and euphoria of daily urgency.

Fair. I apologise to all. Carry on.
