Interesting - he has a £50m release clause that activates next summer (iirc). Would be a great pick up to replace Yaya, should he leave us next season.

We are signing Alves, Mendy, and Sanchez this week. Walker expected to take a bit longer. Kolarov going to Inter so we've made room for a mystery CB. That's all not a lot really.

I wonder if it's possible to make a preagreement with a team to sign a player next year for more than they are worth now but less that it seems the trend is going? For example if Keita is worth 40m now but we agreed 50m for next season because we think he'll be the next one in demand. Then Leipzig know they are getting 50m whether he has a great season or not, it costs us less money and hassle next year, it's not on this year's books but we risk 50m on a player who could have had a shit season, be injured, be in jail for some stupid shit, even be dead (God forbid). Ok it's stupid. I'll shut up.

Haha not that bad if he breaks his Leg we' would have saved 50mill that we was gonna spend on a duck egg!:))
