I cannot vouch for Ajay in terms of his contacts, but what I can tell you, through personal experience, is that he is a fantastically nice bloke who did a very big favour for me a while back purely on the basis that we support the same football team. He is a gentleman and my experience of Ajay is that there is ABSOLUTELY NO FUCKING WAY he would wind people up for the fun of it. Absolutely no way.

That is what I have always thought. Ajay posted on this forum for some time before he emigrated (long before we were taken over) and he then happened to find himself in the same neck of the woods as our current owners. He was always a real gentleman poster before he went abroad and still is imho.

That doesn't mean that what he is hearing over there is correct, but I doubt he posts anything for a wind up.

Maybe his 'information' is wrong, as I said, I have no way of corroborating his stories or sources, but I can guarantee that Ajay isn't the kind of person to wind people up. I have spoken to him on the telephone, and through PMs here, quite a lot. He's a seriously decent human being, unlike the 'people' who continually give him grief for trying to share information with fellow blues. As a fellow blue, and as someone who has been the recipient of Ajay's help for purely that reason, I find it quite embarrassing that he gets so much stick.

A two minute conversation with this man would convince all the doubters that Ajay is at the very least completely genuine. If Ajay wants to send the names to someone, I'm happy to get the message and not disclose it until allowed to.

However, Ajay also strikes me as the kind of guy who doesn't really seem to care about being doubted by the few who do, and at the end of the day, doesn't have anything to prove to any of us.

Even if 3 players get signed on Monday people will find holes in his comments.

If you believe him, enjoy. If you dont believe either enjoy or ignore.

He is a good poster and between him and Tolmie's and a couple of others, they make the boards more interesting in the off season.

Keep it up Ajay. I cant say I am a 100% believer, nor do I dismiss out of hand.

in fairness i havent asked him to name names or sources its gone beyond that, i just wanted to know the reasons why he posts in the way he does, if i post any comment and someone asks me where im coming from i have no problem answering them, if they agree or disagree with the reasons is fine people are entitled to their opinions

For me this is all about information. There is a world of difference between knowing who we may bid for and who will sign. In reality the only person who will know 100% guaranteed that a player will sign for us is the player himself. His choice to sign on the dotted line. When ITKs give out names of who we are linked with or connected with or in negotiation with they may be 100% correct in their assessment but for me and I can only speak for myself I don't take that as deal done because until the player signs on that dotted line it ain't. I like the information and speculation and giddyness goes up if we are linked with a marquee player and I have had some magical evenings on this board watching transfers being done and concluded. But please give the ITKs a break.

i agree completely itks giving info on who we are after is interesting they should just be careful in stating a deal is done when its not, previous experience should show them this leads to all sorts of ill feeling
