It's Quiet the £250m return

Nope makes no sense to old might as well stick with Nunes after having waisted £50 mill on him. Ideally both Nunes and Lewis go and Livramento comes in.

I can't see Nunes going anywhere. 3 years left on his deal, £130k a week. It would have to be Saudi.

I actually think as a backup right-back against the less attacking sides he would be perfect.

Lewis I have a feeling will be sold.

Livramento is a pipe dream unless Newcastle are willing to accept closer to the £60m mark. No chance do I see the club spending upwards of £80m for him. I just cannot see it.

I can actually see us being far happier spending £20m on Dumfires and having him for a couple of years and biding our time for the right man.

City have shown previously that if need be they will not rush a transfer and will wait a season or two for the right man. We did it with Dias and Erling.

Lewis won't be going anywhere. Pep seems to love him and wasn't there tall recently of a new contract?

Apparently he has asked the club what their plans are for him this summer.

I think a loan or sale is on the cards for him.

Just don't see where he plays next season.

Notice there’s a contact situation with Nwaneri at Arsenal and Chelsea linked. Personally think that’s one that could be attacked. HG, young with huge cieling. However don’t think there’s space in the squad until both McAtee and Grealish go.

Might be happening as he changed agent to Jorge Mendes. Viana and Mendes are close with each other. 25 million euros for a right back is hard to pass up.

“That release clause would be for €25 million. However, it would not be valid for clubs in Serie A.

The release clause in Dumfries’s deal is valid until July 15th.

According to Italian transfer journalist Orazio Accomando, meanwhile, there’s a notable development behind the scenes.

Dumfries has changed agent, he reports.

Having previously be represented by Rafaela Pimenta, Dumfries has joined up with Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes.”

Dumfries 25 million for a defender that got 11 goals and 6 assists last season, that's an incredible market opportunity.
But, can he actually defend?

I'm not playing devil's advocate here, apart from when he's played against us I haven't seen enough of him to form much of an opinion.

We're leaking goals on the counter attack, can he help address that problem?

I think Rico Lewis will stay he's still what 21 and had a bad season like everyone at the club he has more potential to be Walkers long term replacement than Nunes does.
He might stay but he’ll never be a full back. He may develop into a proper midfielder one day but a defender in this City team, he’ll never be.

I agree. He’s had one bad season (most of the team did). There’s too many people rushing to write our players off. He’s shown loads of potential and is exactly the type of player we should be keeping and developing.

Walker is one of the best defensive right backs of the modern era . An ideal mix of blistering pace, physical strength, and athleticism. Rico, on the other hand, lacks those core attributes: he's relatively slow, undersized, not particularly athletic or physical, and struggles defensively. I know he's one of our own, and I’d love to back him, but the reality is that Rico isn't anywhere near Walker’s level and will never be half the player he was. It’s not just about a bad season; he simply doesn't have the tools to reach that standard.

I don't think any one player can address the problem, it's the set-up that needs be adjusted.
