It's Quiet the £250m return

We had a better 2025? Since the start of the year we had the following embarrassing games: Arsenal, Liverpool, Madrid x2, PSG, Brentford, Brighton, Southampton, Palace, United, and Al Hilal. We can also add all of our wins where we played ping pong with our opposition giving up 10+ shots each game.

If Liverpool (who took the CL winners to penalties) are hardly a great side, then what does that make this City side?
Unbalanced, injured, fatigued and old

Our points tally was a good return in the second half of the season but we rode our luck in a lot of the games and were still nowhere close to the level we had set? Thats the concern for me going forward.
i agree we rode our look in games won games we probably shouldn't of but that's football we have won titles by winning games we shouldn't off just because it wasn't for a title doesn't mean you can't say we managed to turn it around from not getting european football to managing to get 3rd, but saying that people are twisting it by making it out were saying we was amazing.

were still nowhere close to the level we had set

Not having Rodri and several other players goes some way in explaining that.

Your concern would be legitimate if we had Rodri, Reijnders, Cherki, RAN, and still sucked.

Let's hope Rodri stays fit and regains form. IMO, he's our most influential player ever, even if his less attractive position (DM) means he won't be widely recognised as such.

you could also say the level we set was so ridiculously good that maintaining that was never feasible doesn't mean we can't get to a level where we can win the league again

For me it still depends on the system and if Pep plays Gundo etc as well.

The fact that people come up with the fact that city got more points than Liverpool in 2025 when they were clearly going to win the league and started concentrating on the CL is funny.

„84 points hardly a decent side“ sometimes I think people would rather talk bullshit before admitting that another side is far better

Yep they were far better with no one up there arse! Because history shows they shit it or come up short Everytime since the premier started!!

You shouldn't underestimate Pep. He has the brains and the will to find the system that is the best fit for our current squad. It may take time, but there's no reason to be pessimistic.

This idea that Pep may start players who fans can see are not good enough implies Pep is finished. I doubt that.

You really are a fukin know it all ain't you. Just like a bloody parrot sitting on some weirdos shoulder chirping in all the time.

We squeezed results somehow to the end but we certainly weren't playing title chasing form. We were VERY lucky in many games right to the end. Cannon fodder teams coming out feeling hard done by with countless hitting the posts etc as we squeezed results out of our arsed. The shambles of cup final highlighted that more than ever. Complete Pep fuk up that I saw it with my own eyes following 48 years of watching City. Is that OK with you parrot?
Think what you like, though I am self aware enough to know after 55 years of watching City I don't know more than Pep Guardiola or even a fraction of what he knows about coaching and building title winning teams.
