Out and out worldies we didn't really sign them at any other time , Robinho and Tevez were probably the only two really established big stars.

However Mahrez Grealish and Rodri were all club record signings at the time after we'd won titles and Gvardiol was for a defender as well as being highly rated. We've also made serious plays for Belllingham and Kane , we've hardly been consistently apathetic after titles.

Stats say Salah had scored twice as many goals and Mahrez 50% more after similar amount of games. But anyway my point was around poor decision making and there is no stat for that. It doesn’t lead to goals and assists which is my point.

How many bonafide world class footballers are available at any one time?

You’re on about signing players who are regarded as the best in their position, if Haaland is your measuring stick, then we’re looking at 1-2 players at most per position you could call world class.

That’s 22 players, we’ve had 3 of them in Haaland, Kev and Rodri.

Who do you want us to out and buy out of the remaining 19 in the past 4/5 years.

Mbappe, Salah, VVD, Yamal?

You can’t buy world class players very often, they’re almost always already at big clubs.

This club makes world class footballers and so does every other club, bar Madrid.

A player playing in the front three playing for Man City has 2 goals in 45 appearances but its the ones thinking thats simply just not good enough who are giving him a "weird rep", not the ones mentioning him in the same sentence as Salah.

I find it weird they just look at the one negative, rather than his whole game and want to get rid immediately over let him be a backup and sort/develop his game out. Kid put up numbers every 2 starts in his debut season here. Not saying he doesnt need to improve but getting rid already is weird.
 
MGW will have one training session at City to realise he is technically out of his depth. Phillips realised the same.

We have tried for statement signings 3 years on the trot - but been told to do one by Bellingham Rice and Wirtz.

After rejection we seem to we are turn our attention to MGW etc. Simply not good enough but a good chance our recruitment team can sign him.

The fact is we’ve gone from the best midfield in Europe to probably not even top 5 midfields in England.

Rodri must look at us signing Nico and MGW and wonder what the fuck are we doing. We’ve gone from a midfield where everybody has 100 caps each to these 2 signings that have 2 international caps between them !!

You don't have a clue what he wants. If players who took us to a treble and four in a row are fit and in form then I don't see a problem with playing them. Ultimately he turned the bad form around. We had the best form since January.

De Bruyne is going, so clearly he isn't too fussed about keeping all his former players happy. Pep will pick the players and the team he thinks will win a game. Thanks to him we won enough of them over the second half of the season to make the CL.

Lets see how the club gets on this summer but after a big old spend on young players in Jan he used them to plug gaps and buy us time to get the more experienced players rested and recovered. It worked.

Jokes aside, if you list players that City don't need with characteristics that don't suit City, I can't help but assume you either don't watch City, don't watch football, or are as I said at the top, 11 or 12 years old. In which case, maybe get someone older to help you post.

KDB has no year left and it was a decision from above it’s a difference if the players are still under contract. The fact that KDB started to start every game after it was announced that he was leaving says it all.

I've been a season ticket holder since 1992. Home and away until 2015 when the kids came along.

Tchouaméni aside, who out of that list don't have the characteristics or aren't what we need?

We need 2 full backs and we need some pace and creativity. Tchouaméni aside, everyone else on that list is exactly what we need.

Did I say they were realistic? No. Did I say I think we'd go for them? No.
