It's Quiet the £250m return

And in those seasons at the back we had

A colossal Vincent Kompany
A fit big balled John Stones
A prime Dias
And the best RB the PL has ever witnessed
And FFS Mahrez, and Raheem who couldn't hit a barn door, and Cancelo's mental issues, and no left-back, and no CDM cover, and he's not as good as he was Gundogan, and Grealish's numbers, Pep's sideways passing, and no academy players being given a chance. We ALWAYS moaned, no matter the halcyon days now lusted over.

They also said gundo was a done deal yet he is still here
Lots of smoke at the moment:

«The two big transfers that Galatasaray will make from now on are Ederson and Singo.»

Their announcement video for Osimhen also had a little Ederson hint

Yeah I still think something will happen.

We don’t tend to act like some of these other teams in the transfer window causing drama and unsettling players, most of the time as soon as we are linked they want the move, who wouldn’t…

We aren’t tapping up agents/leaking stuff to the press non stop.

We might think it’s still possible if he asks for the move, Isak going is a big thing. Firstly because they won’t need the money but on a player perspective it’s not going to fill them with confidence.

The problem we have is there isn’t loads of options out there and Lewis and Nunes know the system, demands and surrounding players. Is there an alternative we’d be happy with? I’m not sure.

But will that change next year? If there are no RB’s worth going for in the market we are either hoping for a player falling out with a club or a player coming through. It’s a strange thing to say we want a RB but Livramento is the only option. I know for years we’ve bodged the LB position but not with two midfielders. Ake and Josko have always been solid and when players like Delph or Zinchenko have played there they have always had more support from natural defenders.
A year in football is a long time. Could very well be another player that has a breakout season between now and then and we move on from Livramento by then, who knows.

I don’t think he’ll kick up a fuss to leave either. I’d be more convinced we’ll sign a Livramento alternative this summer too if we didn’t have the problem we do with non HG players. The silence on outgoings at the minute is deafening and adding another non HG player at right back is gonna be tough to facilitate as things stand. If not Livramento, I’m struggling to think of anyone else that qualifies as HG that is worth going in for either

We have heard that there have been very difficult conversations this week - with a few players being shown the door - in that environment you don’t bring new players in - we are gonna spend a couple of weeks shipping players out. After that process is complete I still expect us to buy a specialist right back. Keep the faith….
We will be wanting a top rb. Can’t see anyone selling such a player so late in the window

It’s just arrogance again „ he can do a job“ just get a fkin specialist
How have you not realised after nearly a decade of Pep that he doesnt like specialists? He wants versatility above anything. He wants players that can do roles in a number of positions and it's how we've coped with a smaller squad up until last season. having defenders who can play across the back line, having midfielders who can operate deeper and attackers who can play anywhere across the front has been a key factor in all of our squads, that isnt going to change.

We've signed a specialist fullback to replace the specialist fullback we've lost, they've just switched sides, we'll continue with playing either a central defender at fullback if we need more defensive solidity or midfielders at fullback if we want more ball control.

The thing is if Reis does stay he could play alot more than he thinks, We don't have defenders that stay fit other than Gvardiol, Khusanov and Ait-Nouri who had a good record at Wolves.

Akanji, Stones and Ake are made of wet toilet roll. We could well end up with doing with Reis staying put strangely enough. Pity we couldn't offload Akanji, Ake and Stones and keep Reis and Bah.
Ake and Stones should have been offloaded this summer. Neither can stay fit. We bought two young CBs in January because neither can stay fit and we are now seemingly going to go into this season gambling on their fitness again. I wonder what other young CBs are on our radar for a panic purchase this coming January.

Offloaded ,how? Anyway a loan might be good for Reis and us. Plus we won’t rely on Stones fitness

Bernardo has been one of the best signings of the Pep era, if not our entire history.
Honest, hardworking and fucking quality to match. A player that’s provided massive moments for us too. No respect for any City fan the disrespects him.

Should he be playing every week? Absolutely not but he’s still more than good enough to play a part and although I’d have personally chosen a couple of others over him, he’s earned that captains armband for the season.
Watch him with Reijnders, Rodri, Foden, Cherki and Haaland next season, it will be joyous

Arsenal are shite and they won't win anything significant whilst they have Arteta. Pep is very emotive but when it comes down to the serious stuff, he steps up. Arteta doesn't have that ability
Agree...

i'm confused around this ederson stuff english media all saying he's staying, turkish side saying there's still a chance and he wants to join them. Surely city don't replace the entire goalkeeping team in one window

IMO unless we manage to shift a ruckload of some of the older & injury prone players, then Pep will be thinking of a back 3 with Ait Nouri being the wingback attacking outside left when in possession.

Who knows? That’s the whole point, just sit back and enjoy the ride. I think there’s a fair number of players we will entertain bids for, and anyone with only 12 months of their deals left will obviously be ones we will listen to with a keener ear.

yeah definitely we need players to leave that are none home grown so it makes sense trying to get money for players with 12 months

Turkish media suggesting now that Donnarumma is their first choice, but they’ll go back to Ederson if they can’t get him. All those tweets above was from the last 2-3 hours
