If Ederson brings his supposed Saudi offer to the table again, then that will get done.
Ortega has offers back in Germany.
Think Costa will happen.
Reinjdeers
Costa
Gibbs-White
Cambiaso
Wesley.
All of them more than likely after yesterday.
1. Tijjani Reijnders (AC Milan)
Position: Central/box-to-box midfielder
Profile: High-energy, progressive passer, great at carrying the ball forward
Verdict:
Very much a Guardiola-type midfielder. He’s tactically flexible, technically clean, and press-resistant. Would offer City a tidy replacement for De Bruyne or Bernardo Silva
2. Diogo Costa (FC Porto)
Position: Goalkeeper
Profile: Strong shot-stopper, excellent distribution
Verdict:
If Ederson goes to Saudi, Costa is probably the best-suited young replacement stylistically. He’s calm on the ball and used to playing out from the back — very much in the Ederson mold, but younger and with huge upside.
3. Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest)
Position: Attacking midfielder / winger
Profile: Creative, good dribbler, sets tempo in the final third
Verdict:
Feels like a wildcard link. He’s talented, but his decision-making and consistency are still a step below elite level. Would be a shock move unless City see a future Foden-style project in him.
4. Andrea Cambiaso (Juventus)
Position: Left-back / wing-back
Profile: Two-footed, smart in possession, can invert
Verdict:
He fits the modern full-back role perfectly. If City want another versatile option like Gvardiol or Akanji, Cambiaso makes sense. Not a headline name, but he’d quietly improve the squad.
5. Wesley (likely Wesley Gassova – Corinthians)
Position: Winger
Profile: Explosive, raw talent, Brazilian flair
Verdict:
One for the future. Likely a City Football Group pathway signing — think Kayky or Savio. He could be loaned out initially before being integrated, depending on development.
Summary:
• Top-tier fits: Reijnders and Costa
• Solid squad options: Cambiaso
• High-upside gamble: Wesley
• Wildcard: Gibbs-White
