A few contracts will run out by then by default, and others in the final year could be sold. It is quite far away, we are still not out of this window where lots can change fairly quickly. It is pretty clear the club are in no rush and comfortable to patiently play the clock down.

So say 8 games in the league. What about the other 30 games? Hopefully he can get back to some kind of reasonable fitness but recent history suggests otherwise. Our central defence which was so strong a couple of years back is slowly emerging as a big problem. Hopefully recent recruits will make the grade but we might run out of time waiting to find out.

Yeah this is what I found. Surprisingly a few Boca fans were on the side of River plate fans saying the way Echeverri treated the club was immature.

Personally I'd sell prime Maradona if he could only play 8 games a year.
We should have asked Stones to find himself a new club. He's on big money and we all know he'll be injured before the end of September.
That would have left us with plenty. Looking at the defence as a whole.

One injury to Cherki or Foden and it’s abit spooky
Cherki x Foden will play all the available mins without injuries
But for subs are crucial and he would be the best super sub off the bench. His energy and pace is perfect against tired legs. But I guess since his potential is so high he should start every single game at the 10 for another team

Silva, Bobb and a few others can play their position, maybe not at the same level but well enough given our other assets.

Neither Nunes or Akanji are right backs & O'Reilly isn't a left back. When you add in the inevitable injuries to Stones, Aké & Akanji, it's obvious where out weak spot is, & where & how teams will exploit us.

We essentially had/have a team of midfielders & CB's, notwithstanding Haaland & Ait Nouri. "Can do a job" incoming...

We were also stronger at LB than RB and signed Ait Nouri but no RB?
