interesting who we would let go to accommodate Echeverri if he has a great season on loanI think the problem for Claudio is he's competing with Marmoush, Bobb ,Savinho, Foden, Cherki, Doku for the 11, 7 and 10 spots.
Unlike Ries, he's not being hindered by Pep's fragile favourites.
We'll probably end up playing Ait-Nouri there or something. We have worse right back options than any of the other 7 clubs who qualified for Europe last season and I'm still hoping we do something about that.
A few contracts will run out by then by default, and others in the final year could be sold. It is quite far away, we are still not out of this window where lots can change fairly quickly. It is pretty clear the club are in no rush and comfortable to patiently play the clock down.interesting who we would let go to accommodate Echeverri if he has a great season on loan
Think he comes in for Bernardo next summer if he has a great season, then he competes with Bobb and Savinho.interesting who we would let go to accommodate Echeverri if he has a great season on loan
So say 8 games in the league. What about the other 30 games? Hopefully he can get back to some kind of reasonable fitness but recent history suggests otherwise. Our central defence which was so strong a couple of years back is slowly emerging as a big problem. Hopefully recent recruits will make the grade but we might run out of time waiting to find out.Stones not going anywhere listening to his comments. He is such a great player that I suppose we can accept he'll play 15 games at most.
5 of those will be for England though!
Cheers, hadn't known any of that.
But on the flipside of the last part, Argentine football fans are fickle as fuck.
Personally I'd sell prime Maradona if he could only play 8 games a year.So say 8 games in the league. What about the other 30 games? I think your mistake there was watching something produced by and for rags.Haha the overlap no Man City fan never even mentioned us never tipped us for anything!
Anybody got a free link to Ziegler's Times article about players ending their contracts for nothingI'm not a man of faith. Ultimately, the reality of life comes down to cold hard facts. If what the sport law companies I clicked on today is the actual case regarding player contracts, what's written, agreed & signed in black & white trump's blind faith every time.
My hope & my belief is there's enough love & respect between the old guard & the club, that they'll put City's best long-term interests before theirs. Here's hoping! )(
One injury to Cherki or Foden and it’s abit spookyI think the problem for Claudio is he's competing with Marmoush, Bobb ,Savinho, Foden, Cherki, Doku for the 11, 7 and 10 spots.

Silva, Bobb and a few others can play their position, maybe not at the same level but well enough given our other assets. One injury to Cherki or Foden and it’s abit spooky
Cherki x Foden will play all the available mins without injuries
But for subs are crucial and he would be the best super sub off the bench. His energy and pace is perfect against tired legs. But I guess since his potential is so high he should start every single game at the 10 for another team
Neither Nunes or Akanji are right backs & O'Reilly isn't a left back. When you add in the inevitable injuries to Stones, Aké & Akanji, it's obvious where out weak spot is, & where & how teams will exploit us.Personally I'd sell prime Maradona if he could only play 8 games a year.
We should have asked Stones to find himself a new club. He's on big money and we all know he'll be injured before the end of September.
That would have left us with plenty. Looking at the defence as a whole.
2 sets
Nunes Dias Gvardiol Alt Nouri
Akanji Khusanov Ake O'Reilly
If Stones has suddenly turned into the bionic man fine. Otherwise it's a gamble.

We essentially had/have a team of midfielders & CB's, notwithstanding Haaland & Ait Nouri. "Can do a job" incoming...
The mind boggles! We were also stronger at LB than RB and signed Ait Nouri but no RB?

It's what old people excel at... ;-)This is like a moaners' convention. You will find me in a corner, moaning about people moaning.
