It's Quiet the £250m return

It’s so wild because I can already see what will happen (unless we get Rodrygo or Barcola) we let Savinho go, he shines. Bobb struggles to stay fit, Doku struggles to be consistent/stay fit, Haaland will have his own fitness issues at some point and our only fit forwards will be marmoush, Cherki and Foden. It’s a pretty realistic scenario too.
And there's a possibility of Bernado playing RW.

Hope you kova fans are happy.. he gets to stay while Savinho has to leave!

I'd much rather have it the other way round!

Does Savinho have to leave? Or does he want to leave? Or have we received an offer we simply have to consider because the money on offer is more than his worth? I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

Meanwhile, Kovacic who is under contract and plays in a completely different position anyway, seemingly doesn't want to leave. The management seems to like him. So he stays.

This isn't Football Manager or FIFA.

The outgoing list is getting spooky by the minute. With all due respect to our long serving legends - they are occupying extra places and lot of wages for us to run sustainably.
And instead of a Akanji news to Turkey we are hearing about a Savio link to no less Spurs.

Sending a fairly young prospect away to Levy who initiated the charges bullshits with the red scums and keeping the oldies don’t paint a good picture.

The only palpable way this works is Rodrygo coming to us the same week and we rinse the lot at Spurs with a lot of money.

I think Sav was deffo one on Bernies sights
The same savinho who was overplayed last season? Bullshit. Never seen such expectations on a 21 yr old in his first season. Buy hey! The older players like Bernardo can stay. Let’s sell/ loan all promising players. We are going backwards. „ they won the treble „
yeah years ago.

There is no way we are selling a young promising winger. It would really be peak City to keep the likes of Kovacic, Nunes, and Rico. I sincerely doubt we would be doing this deal and improving a direct rival.

I can certainly understand people being unhappy with our transfer business, we have spent enormous amounts of money this year and looking at the squad strength it doesn't exactly look like a top squad with 370m of added quality.

But I dont really have a problem with letting our probably worst winger go, who has been here 1 season and scored 1 (one) league goal in 29 appearances in what was our worst season in a decade. He is 21 and obviously a talent, but we are not Brighton, a club aiming to develop talents at the expense of winning nothing. We are aiming to win every competition we compete in. I'm not saying we must sell Savinho, but considering we already have Marmoush/Foden/Cherki/Bobb/Bernardo/Doku as options, it's hard to argue Savinho being here or not would make a big difference.

What the team needs are less "good but not great" players and more elite ones that raise the level.
Hopefully this means the club aims to strengthen the team with a player more ready to make a difference in the upcoming season.
