It's Quiet the £250m return

Just an example.

Do you think Bobb gets 19 G/A in a full season as a 20 year old in la liga I guess?

Bobb might well be a better finisher, but pound for pound Savinho (who's younger) is a top 5 U21 winger in the world (top 10 if you're being harsh).

Selling him is just a mistake brought on by a mismanagement of squad places. I suspect if Bobb wasn't club trained he'd already be out on loan.

Just a thought if we did sell Savinho as well as McAtee and got £80 million for them and then bought Rodrigo for roughly the same and used the wages saved on those two and Jack to pay Rodrigo’s wages would that be good business and improve the first team - this might be the City thinking ?

Nothing to do with squad places or any mismanagement ,very little to do with Bobb either, it hasn’t come from us, seems it’s an offer from spurs he wants to take, we are reacting to that.

Agree to disagree. Can’t compare them fully hence the comparison of Bobb’s standout moment in a City shirt against Savinho in the same position. His finishing is shit. Everything else is mint (as I said in my posts in the Savinho thread this morning) but we have a lot of other players now who can do that. We need people who have a knack for scoring goals. Or at least the technique to show they can.

I don’t think Savinho has shown that, same way Grealish never has, but I think Bobb has the ability to score and assist, yes. His finishing is loads better and that’s what we need now - we need players ready to contribute numbers. Not the odd nutmeg and gee up the crowd after winning a corner.

I’d also hazard a guess that Pep prefers Bobb if we’re willing to negotiate Savinho’s price.

FWIW, I agree with you on mismanagement and Savinho’s potential. But sometimes some players don’t fit at certain clubs and I’d argue Bobb has a higher ceiling.

Are Everton paying Jacks wages?

That sounds excellent to me.

Fair enough mate, you could be totally right.

I just think from my perspective we've expected Akanji, Stones and Gundo to go and we're clambering to shrink the squad and Bobb is immune as he gets the CT place.

Part of the proof might be in who, if anyone, takes his place, and if any of those older guys do move on.

This is being a bit misinterpreted.

Bobb is very good, but not in any way a more guaranteed success than Savinho.

I'm saying the logic of "we can't rely on Savinho, we don't need him, we've got Bobb" is very flawed
Maybe but Bobb probably isn’t first choice yet and neither is Savinho. So we wouldn’t be relying on either.

Yeah I agree 100% with that mate.

Not with the Jonny Boulders slander, though. I’ll have no bad word said against the beautiful man! ;)

Really? Did you support us when we were shit? Fucking hell
Yeah I did.
But the football last season was boring sideways shite.
Expectations is everything.
When we were shit I hoped for 3 points and more often than not was left disappointed.
Shit players, shit managers and a badly run club.
Now I expect better.
Silly me.
