Bluemoon is my life - sad as it may seem

Tried to take my own life in 2010 and can honestly say this place helps me everyday

With out this place I'd be gone
Incredibly brave thing to share, and nothing sad about it at all. It's often the first thing I do when I get up, make a brew and have a read of this forum.

As other have said, always reach out; so many good folk on here to chat with.

All the best, mate.

So what you’re saying is PSG have heard his contract demands, decided it’s way too much and he’s not worth it, and we’re going to pay that plus a signing on fee and £40m fee.

Yes, that is precisely what I am saying. Does it mean they did not want to keep him? They found a cheaper keeper that does the job for them maybe.

Well... You would be panic buying...

Because the club didn't start pushing some of these players out in July and addressing the needs in July, and now to no ones surprise, we haven't fully addressed the needs of the team, and we are stuck in this situation.
Feel like we’ve done a bit of due diligence for next season and we might just be fast forwarding some deals

This Indy lad. He's been spot on all summer. Page apparently ran by 5 big transfer folk. I do sense a Liverpool bias on the page however. So that could explain the "Player wants LFC" portion. But also would understand from a playing time perspective if this was true. But I have no doubts we are interested after this.
Ornstein said he’s got links so used him as a reference. This was in relation to him saying we had secret chats with Vini and everyone slating Ornstein for using him before hand for something and validating them to a degree.

I think there’s been a lot of overreaction to the defeat on Saturday.
If Marmoush takes that chance (Vicarious save), then the game would have been different.

Clearly we lack pace and physicality at the back and introducing Khusanov will help ease some of that.

I don’t know what anyone else’s perception is of Dias new contract extension, but although the defence hasn’t been a settled and consistent back four, he for me has been poor for a while.

If there’s any truth in Guehi being on the radar, I’d be all for it.

A rear guard of Donnarumma, Khusanov, Guehi, Gvardiol and Ait Nouri would be solid enough for me, especially with Rodri in front of them.

Ditch the inverted full back and let the attacking players do their thing.

Not sure we need a replacement for Savinho all told, but if one should present itself then do it.

Onwards and upwards.
Completely agree. It’s Spurs, new system and they pressed incredibly well, first time we used a weaker midfield trying to get a 10 in there.

let’s see how we do against Brighton, we smash them and everyone is happy again.

I do think the club had planned for some players to leave which they didn’t to begin with and it’s taken time for them to realise/use to let them know they aren’t in plans. Mix in the old World Cup year they want minutes and we will make moves

Panic-buying is picking names out of thin air and lumping cash on them in the hope that it works out well.

Expediting deals for players you've been watching for a good while is reacting to the situation around you and being pragmatic.

More big insiders hopping on the Guehi to City interest. Apparently players first choice is Liverpool but they're dragging their feet at the moment. City have made a move to Palace for him. Indifferent on this but if it means weakening Liverpool I'm all for it. I think Madrid are in for Konate, and Virgil is old as balls. Could be a spot of bother for them the near future. They have a couple young talents but no guaranteed quality.

Surely all but confirms the departure of a few of our older lads.

We’ve definitely looked at him before. I read that Liverpool aren’t meeting palaces demands what ever they may be. Maybe we are quietly talking to his team to gauge interest

Might not like this suggestion but Mainoo? Just been briefed he's considering his options? Would add some physicality to our midfield and he's homegrown? Plus the rags faces would be a picture
We wanted him before he broke out into the first team. As much as I think he’s not been great there, they are a complete shit show and lots of players would perform better out of that circle.

I’d like it for the utter piss take and maybe a welcome to manc v2.

But we don’t need him, especially with O’reilly.

Could be a cracking player there despite being a rag, people in the industry clearly rate him. But he wants big money there, greedy rag.

Thank God this place is here then.

I struggled like hell through a divorce about 6 years ago and admitted as such on here. Got loads of support and I second your sentiment about this online community. It's a remarkable place.

Well, we are going to have to move incredibly quickly on those, can't be dicking around on price.

I would love for them to open the vault and just go get a Physical midfielder, an elite winger, and Donnarumma in the next week.

We really need to respond to the market.

If it's me, in fantasy football mode this week...

Sell -
Akanji
Ederson
Savinho
Gundo
Ake
Phillips
Kovacic
Gonzales

Bring

Baleba
Donnarumma
Rodrygo
Livramento
Gheui

It's gonna take something like radical surgery to have us clearly out in front again.

What we should have done during the summer

But current City tend to drag their feet and try and be too clever for their own good.

I think liverpool going big has caught City out.

I think we won the most points over the last 6-7 weeks of the season after the Dippers had all but secured the title & Arsenal had secured 2nd, & both were concentrating on the CL.

We won the points without having to face a top team, & it was the manner of our performances that still gave me cause for concern.

We actually had the most points over the last 21 games of the season, so would have played everyone in that run.

Agree that Liverpool dropped points at the end when they didn't need them (which I think is probably a positive for this season, as it suggests they're missing a little of the killer instinct that leads to multiple titles).

Arsenal too.

I fear we've left ourselves with too much to do in this window, barring some very big surprises.

Bigger question is we've known from last November - Feb that the following players need to be moved on:

Gundo
Akanji
Kovacic
Ortega
Kalvin Philips
Possibly 1 of Stones/ Ake

Yet they're still on our books.. why??

Because they're injured, under contract, big wages and nobody wants to pay for them.
