Are they better than Nunes and Rico - slightly at best?

Are they already integrated into the squad? No.

Will they need a year to settle? Yes.

Are they worth the price to slightly upgrade, possibly? Probably not.

I'm not denying right other backs exist - you could say Molina, Mukiele, Dodo, Boey... All reasonable answers. I'm debating whether they represent enough of an improvement to give up on Rico and Nunes.

I just think Nunes should be the back up on both sides. Rico? Just don't see him ever being a viable RB at our level.

You’ve got to trust the club. We don’t just grab any old full back for the sake of it, that’s not how City operate. Pep and Hugo will wait for the right player, the one who fits the system long term. I'd much rather we did that than waste money like Chelsea have over the last few seasons.

We’ve been here before, people doubted us, then the perfect signing lands and everyone wonders how we have pulled it off. That’s why we were winning trebles while others were dreaming of them.
