It's Quiet the £250m return

I’ll have a crack at the players out:

Ederson @ £20m
Stones @ £25m
Doyle @ £20m
Perrone @ £25m
Mcatee @ £25m
Couto @ £25m
Grealish @ £35m
Nunes @ £30m
Bernardo @ £25m
Phillips @ £20m

£250m right there! Add most of them players now nil balance on the PSR sheet do all profit for bringing new players in? Add to Walkers wages off the books as well as KDB plus I imagine a raft of EDS deals players fit another £50m plus at least then not beyond the realms to do a £400m gross spend this summer if required?
 
Definitely losing leaders with KDB and Walker going,wonder who will get the captaincy next season..

Rodri, Dias definitely players who are guaranteed to stay obviously depends on which older guard leave too. Outside the box of players who may ‘step up’ perhaps Phil, Erl or Gvardiol?!

Tend to agree

Grealish & Walker are the only players I think seem inevitable, Phillips too but maybe mutal termination or a loan but nit really counting him anymore (maybe Grealish goes on loan?)

I'd be shocked if McAtee was here next summer, just don't think Pep rates him that highly and he's old enough now for him to find a new challenge and really embrace his career

Don't see anyone taking a chance on Stones or Ake given their injury history, especially with Stones available on a free in the summer

That is the best part of £200 million already without selling the likes of Stone, Akanji, Bernardo, Kovacic and others. Maybe EDS talents?

We could make a fortune if we wanted. I want us to actually go out and SPEND this summer rather than focussing on net spend.

We won't be able to sell them. Who's gonna pick up the wages of players like Stones who seemingly can't make it into the training ground without getting injured.

We could only make a fortune if there were buyers for all those players, but I think people are over egging how many players we will try to sell this off season

People forgetting it’s World Cup year, that’s our best hope of forcing a few out.

Players like Stones and Ake, amongst others, will want to get minutes and if we say you aren’t getting them here then their agents will be getting busy.

I don't know who exactly is leaving - not even club will know this at this stage - but I'd say the following have a chance to move on:

Ederson
Ortega
Walker
KDB - gone
Gundo
Bernardo
Grealish
McAtee
Phillips

From those nine I reckon we'll see around six leave. If that's correct I'd say we need to bring in four players to have the right balanced, small squad pep wants. We might also promote one or two from our academy.

I don't think it's unrealistic to think we can get £40-50million for Grealish, homegrown as well.

I reckon we could get more for Ederson, less for Perrone, less for Grealish, and certainly less for Phillips. For those players (not that I think we will sell them all) you're probably looking at more like £180m collectively.
 
I don’t think it matters as much as you think how much we get for these players, we already have the money set aside to spend.

I think the main thing is balancing the wage bill and squad size.

On top of the 25m for Perrone, we could easily claw over £100m back in total with Grealish, Phillips, Bernardo, Ederson etc looking to leave.

We will shift a centre half or two as well, you’ve not put any on your list. Like I said, World Cup year and even if it’s out on loan for final year of contract it’ll free up squad spots and wages.
