It's Quiet the £250m return

Ignoring the fact that you still haven't explained how every single club in the world has a top class right back, Frimpong isn't a right back.

Thinking isn't your forte is it?
Where have I said that every club has a world class right back??

Frimpong isn't a traditional right back, but we're linked with that Ait Nouri who isn't a traditional left back.

Going off what Pep allegedly wants, it seems like he's trying to utilise over lapping full backs to provide the width. I'd also argue that going forwards, Frimpong might be one of the best in Europe at that but I would counter that by saying he's shite defensively. But whilst we need new signings, we also need to factor in the homegrown rule which Frimpong ticks.

And again, like I said, the current Premier League champions are signing him to replace TAA so they obviously agree with my thoughts, are they wrong too? Are they brainless?

So I don't think there's an issue with my thinking, you just happen to disagree. Which is fine but you don't need to interact or respond to what I say

I'm very positive about our future. January was a superb window for the club. Three young CBs purchased, a young midfielder capable of covering Rodri and also playing further forwards and Marmoush who has settled excellently. We've taken the difficult but logical decision of letting De Bruyne leave. That shows that the board know big decisions need to be made and they're not afraid to make them. They're building for the future and trying to give Pep the squad he needs to succeed.

If fit, Stones and Ake are absolutely superb players. You'd have them in a squad over some of the younger options we have. But they're never fit. Pep can't rely on them. As tough as it is you need to thank them for their service and try and shift them. The same is true for others as well. We might not have long left with Pep. We need to give him the best chance of success, whilst also ensuring the club is set up for life without him.

Guehi/Branthwaite, Livramento & MGW :p

Might be right, but I feel like they are all overrated to some extent. Ideally I guess, the HG players we get would be good enough to be England regulars at least, as England aren't all that special anyway. There's not really any of the regulars I'd be that keen on either, there's not loads to choose from.

That’s good to hear, power struggles do no-one any good.

That list of potential leavers seems fair too, everyone on it is either too old, too frequently injured or not good enough, apart from maybe Nunes and Jack.

Personally I think Lewis needs to go too.
I feel that letting both Ortega & Eddy go at the same time could be a huge risk, especially when we play such a high line & leave the goalkeeper exposed. We could be repeating the Bravo experiment

Bah seems to have played brilliantly both for Valladolid and Lens this season. Sounds like we found a real bargain at £5m. If Akanji stays it means that Khusanov, Reis and Bah would be 4th, 5th and 6th choice CBs. For their development, I think Akanji should find himself a new club. It would be an awful mistake to potentially lose Khusanov, for only to fit in Akanji who`s shown he`s not good enough time and again. Khusanov looks like he could be one of our best CBs ever IMO, and I hope Pep puts him back in the squad quickly

My concern with Khusanov is that his level is Richard Dunne. Gives his all, gets stuck in, hard challenges, great for backs against the wall defending, but not that good at retaining possession etc.

I'm sure though that that is being worked on and hopefully he gets there. City's requirements are a big ask though.

Branthwaite im not completly sold on (due to injury not talent) but id want at least reliable guys in any position this summer. Rest are all capable of playing 40 games without me worrying about them playing. Might not be the best guy on the park but wont give me a heart attack either. Sometimes you need them in the squad.

I can’t see their being Livramento talk out there unless there’s been some sort of talk.

Like Bruno which we got told to piss off but we’re definitely interested. We could have got him when he had the RC but thought maybe we could get him cheaper?

Seems an odd one because why would Newcastle sell.

Not so much telling players they must leave but they should...

The club has meetings today and tomorrow with the playing staff.

The World Cup is our big piece of leverage. This is why Pep said it could be difficult because we have players under contract, which ultimately offers all the protection to the player.

Stones
Eddie
Ortega
Gundo
Ake
Bernardo
Gundo
Grealish
McAtee
Walker
Phillips
Nunes.

All can find new clubs if they are open to offers.

There will be number of pay-offs and fee cutting.

I think we need to be prepared for more than people think, although I can't call if those with 12 months left, like Bernie, Stones, Jack, Gundo, Ortega and Eddie will just sit tight.

They won't play and that's where they have a decision to make.

It's another reason why Soriano and Txiki delivered the bad news to KDB. Pep just doesn't have the heart to tell people they aren't wanted anymore after he did it with Sergio.
But no Doku or Savinho on that list :-(
And why Ake??? - medical grounds?

Rumors that they may have to sell Gordon so I don't know if they have financial problems. I think they'd rather sell Livramento than Gordon.

I think you know how the squad HG & club association rules work? And they're a bit different for PL and CL I believe?

Do you think there's anyway we go I to the next season with say just one HG player? Let's say all of Stones, Walker, Ake and Grealish go - and let's say we get MGW because I think those links are strongest. How big (or small) would that make our squad?

Do we actually need more HG players? Obviously we can use youth players as back up etc.

Their turnover is tiny in comparison to others so they cant invest or get improved sponsorships?
