It's Quiet the £250m return

I can’t see their being Livramento talk out there unless there’s been some sort of talk.

Like Bruno which we got told to piss off but we’re definitely interested. We could have got him when he had the RC but thought maybe we could get him cheaper?

Seems an odd one because why would Newcastle sell.
Do they still have issues with PSR

I'm very positive about our future. January was a superb window for the club. Three young CBs purchased, a young midfielder capable of covering Rodri and also playing further forwards and Marmoush who has settled excellently. We've taken the difficult but logical decision of letting De Bruyne leave. That shows that the board know big decisions need to be made and they're not afraid to make them. They're building for the future and trying to give Pep the squad he needs to succeed.

If fit, Stones and Ake are absolutely superb players. You'd have them in a squad over some of the younger options we have. But they're never fit. Pep can't rely on them. As tough as it is you need to thank them for their service and try and shift them. The same is true for others as well. We might not have long left with Pep. We need to give him the best chance of success, whilst also ensuring the club is set up for life without him.

Exactly. Being so ruthless with Kev has also sent a unequivocal message to the rest that it's nothing personal from this point on.

If we have done that to our greatest-ever player, then the likes of Stones and Ake can hardly take it personally.

Ideally, we would want a proper send-off for all the great servants, but this summer is unique, as is our needs.

We never got to say goodbye to Sergio and Dave, so my blood is blue and cold at this point, having seen Kev off.

I will love them all, but I will always love City first.

I think you know how the squad HG & club association rules work? And they're a bit different for PL and CL I believe?

Do you think there's anyway we go I to the next season with say just one HG player? Let's say all of Stones, Walker, Ake and Grealish go - and let's say we get MGW because I think those links are strongest. How big (or small) would that make our squad?

Do we actually need more HG players? Obviously we can use youth players as back up etc.
we could, Lewis Bobb and O'Reilly are all still on the B list for now, you could in theory leave the numbers off the HG section.

So given that all that lot are considered surplus that means we want to keep

Khusanov, Riess, Akanji, Gvardiol, O'Reilly, Dias
Rodri, González, Kovacic, Lewis, Foden, Marmoush, Haaland, Savinho, Doku, Bobb

Obvious holes. A right back. And a LB although not quite as pressing.
Plenty of attackers, lack of quality in midfield.

Newcastle have issues with Trafford signing. He was boxed off last year but Burnley now want £40m and they can't afford it.
So you think they have to sell or they will move onto another target?

Makes sense that they’ve been saying Garcia to Newcastle as would be cheaper

we will be, but i expect that HG or not. Just the way the game is played. All DOFs want the deal on their terms, the world over.

I expect most the players we'd be interested in are foreign, so the key thing is how many foreign players we can sell in order to make space for them.

If we can't sell enough, maybe then we'd need more HG players etc.
