Agree. From what I’ve seen of Cherki he doesn’t give us that bite that MGW would and I think we desperately need that. I’d go as far to say as I’d rather him than Rodrygo, higher ceiling and fraction of the cost. One of those players who gets you out of your seat too.

Mbappe and Vini have terrible work rate. Cherki isn’t that bad. He actually tries he’s just not an Alvarez or Marmoush presser

He reminds me a lot of Nasri, all the talent in the world but lazy.

Still, I've said before he would be a decent target at his price and you can never have enough inventiveness.

If Pep got inside his head, you are talking worldy levels.

I'd still expect us to move on MGW.

I still do, but I am able to expand a little more on school holidays!

Twitter is great for supporting people, but I can't stand people using the N word or Unc, or whatever else some generations think is acceptable.

Any young player would have to step up if they are in the mix with Foden, Echeverri, Bobb, Doku, Savinho, Marmoush and Erling. That's a lot of talent, and a lot of youth.
 
In Spain a Journo linked with Barca is saying that Joan Garcia (GK) is City's 1st choice and Costa is the backup option, Garcia has an agreement with City and Newcastle but its up to the GK where he wants to go as he has a release clause of 25m - Barca were interested and made a proposal but out of loyalty to Espanyol he is right now declining their interest.

Me too. I am as excited for the future as I was about the last decade.

When you add talent like Mfuni, Gorman, McAidoo and Mukasa into the mix, and then Khusanov, Bah, Gvardiol and Rodri (who is a relatively young player) etc, you realise that we have exciting times ahead of us. The challenge was always going to be the saying goodbye to a group of legends, and Pep has admitted that he told the board that he believed that he could get another year out of the group. It was a mistake. He admitted that. We move on.

The problem before January was that there was only one centre half fit most of the time other than the first few games of Khus's stay there was then two to three fit.

Guardiola was always going to prefer someone who understands his system, can speak English so will communicate well over a young new arrival at the back.
He regularly takes a long time to integrate hew players
Nobody who has not been watching training regularly has a clue whether the money spent in January is good or bad.
From the very small glimpses we have seen of them there is nothing to suggest it has been poorly spent but we really can't know.
