It's Quiet the £250m return

This really looks like it becomes a real possibility and keeps us below the 17 non-homegrown rules too. Takes some serious outgoings though. Leaves us with 7-8 home homegrown players if we managed to sign Livrameto and MGW.

Ins:
Cherki, MGW, Reijnders, Ait-Nouri, Livramento, Costa

Out:
Gundo, Bernardo, Stones, Ederson, Ortega (WC year), Grealish, KDB - Nunes remains up for debate.

Could easily see us not signing MGW and going with 2 "unc's" - Livramento seems close to impossible cause City won't pay the fee.

What makes you think Newcastle would sell Livramento to Manchester City?

Sorry. I only looked at your graphic. I don't think we would be able to sign Livramento.
I think Newcastle are open to selling him if the price is right because they would have shut the rumours down straight away when Fabrizio broke the news.

I imagine Newcastle will want £80m+ for Livramento. Can’t see us paying that.
Yep, if City come in for any English player they're going to be quoted ridiculous money.

I wouldn't be surprised if Livramento is being used as a smokescreen for another right back signing.

Ait Nouri seems to be more likely also, which is odd as a RB is definitely more of a priority. So maybe we're signing both.

If he's triggered a one year deal with us then we should get a fee for him.
The sentimental part of me says this.
After what he's contributed to our success, and the fact I don't want his memory tarnished becoming a bit part player, if it's his dream move then he can go for free with our thanks.
Just an opinion mind

It would be pointless in triggering Gundo's renewal clause if we had no intention of keeping for next season.

We didn't trigger it. He triggered it himself by meeting a certain amount of games played this season.

I have a feeling Viana has been savage and told Gundogan and Bernardo that they can find new clubs and the club is going in a new direction. He has no sentiment to those players and Pep was pretty clear when he said it's up to the club to decide what is happening with the squad which tells me some things have been taken out of his hands.

Khaldoon: ‘Four players (arrived) in January and that gives you an idea of what's coming this summer because we will continue this summer with this, serving the needs of the club,’ Al Mubarak said.

Yeah, the squad is going definitely getting rebuilt this summer. I think the older players are going.
