The benefit of Bernie is he’s always available, very rarely injured. Would prefer Kova though, agreed.

Bernardo is also far more versatile and versed in Guardiola’s ways. With likely 3 new(ish) midfielders, there are inevitably going to be problems, so Guardiola will need both Rodri and Bernardo.

Few midfielders have ever arrived and gone straight in without incident, so we simply cannot afford wholesale change to that department; otherwise, we could be looking at another disappointing season.
