There are players in other leagues we don't think about, sometimes maybe don't even know about. One may, may, be good enough for our 2nd keeper or an older player for our third.

As an example, he's retired but otherwise someone like Ron-Robert Zeiler. Association trained because of the rags,.but basically played his whole career in Germany. Has a few caps for Germany.

One who's still playing is Péter Gulácsi RB Leipzig's GK. He's 35, counts as homegrown and has 58 caps for Hungary. Maybe at this point in his career would be interested in being the #2 and winning some silverware.

I imagine there are more who maybe would be ok being the second or third keeper.

Wirtz: Was told at the time his family were very into the project and package we put across but he wanted Bayern more in the end and Liverpool blindsided somehow, they weren’t even in the mix originally. These things happen though, as we know I.e Sanchez, Hazard, Messi. Looking like He’s going to the dippers. (Please Madrid, do something)

Costa: Personal terms agreed for a while. Fee talked about and agreed.

Reijnders: Same as Costa but fee nearly agreed if not done, just about.

MGW: Last I heard, we reached out and he’s pining for a move here. Sounds like we’re going for this when the priorities are finished (Reijnders and Costa). Personal terms not an issue at all, verbally agreed.

Livramento: Heard we reached out a few months ago and Newcastle instantly said NO. But, they are seriously interested in Jacky G. Heard this could be huge as Livramento really wants the move and more things have been said over the last few days. Looking more and more likely.

Wesley: heard nothing since a month or so ago when it sounded we were seriously interested.

Cherki: This is so out of the blue. Heard nothing about it till a few days ago when personal terms had already been agreed. Crazy quick, like Bernardo Silva all those years ago.

Ait Nouri: Genuine contacts and player definitely wants the move. Not heard anything about things being agreed.

Joan Garcia: Absolutely nothing in it. Media speculation and his agents were trying to rise his wage for Barcelona.

Rodrygo: Heard nothing about it. Looked on here the other day to see Tolm said something about it and was hoping it was true. Don’t think the lad I know is that deep into it as Tolms contacts hahaha, but I might hear something even if it sounds like Alonso definitely wants to keep him.

Others: Heard we have other targets but nothing concrete. Samuele Ricci would have been our next target if we didn’t get Reijnders but that’s done and that’s about it.

Anyway ladies and gentleman, this is all I’ve heard, wanted to update everyone. Up to you if you think I’m chatting bollocks or not but thought I’d at least give people an update on what I’ve heard from the blue grape vine.

I'm no ITK, but I can come up with all that with what has been out there in the last few months.

It would really help us out if we got a homegrown back up GK. wouldn’t have to rely on Newcastle letting go their starting RB to a rival. Then we’d have no choice but to pay the big fee forest want.

Or maybe they believe they’ll get more trophies elsewhere
Or maybe they don’t believe the style of play suits them
Or maybe, just maybe, they prefer a ‘project’ of another club because they perceive it to be better than ours

Seriously mate, there could be any number of reasons for players joining other clubs

Reijnders, Cherki & MGW are our midfield/AM targets....none of those are pacy wingers, they are skillful guys who prefer playing down the middle

The full backs sound promising, Ait Nouri & Livramento are proper full backs and are quick, not Hakimi/Mendes quick but quick enough

Hugo won’t tell Pep how to play, neither will Ljinders. The players we target and the input from his assistant will be because thats how Pep has decided he wants to rebuild the team. Besides hardly the first team he’s played that way with, it isnt too far away from when we had Silva and KDB Sterling, Aguero.Not to mention his previous teams.
The idea that a DOF, and an assistant will force Pep Guardiola to do anything he doesn’t want to is mad. He’s more than capable of seeing what Enrique is doing and has alway been a big De Zerbi fan. There are some very odd ideas about Pep being spread, based on last season with an aging injury hit season.

Why would he leave Liverpool as Second Choice to come to City as Second Choice? Seems to me, he wants to be a FIRST CHOICE keeper in the PL…and might even get his chance!

Our best ever seasons were with Sane and Sterling wide with Walker and Mendy pushing on? My concern is Pep is now concerned with transition that he overthinks it hence the keep ball sideways tactics?
