It's Quiet the £250m return

Might be wrong but I saw picture with leg in boot has he had op ?
Was t taking much notice
Watched an interview with him last night during which he declared himself fit and ready to play. Had had a bone fracture in his foot but he played on with painkillers before finally having an operation in March, after which the club agreed to give him adequate time to recover. He’s vice captain of the Oranje and wants to play tonight, depends on Koeman, but I sense he’s wanting to play in the next World Cup, which might peeve the club since he often picks up injuries on international duty; intensity of games in quick succession. He mentioned the CWC as well, so I reckon he’s going and will be with us next season again.

short term fix, but not what you need to mpunt a title charge or champions leagie winning run, he cost us points last year as he isn't a defender naturally
True. But he also earned us points last year. Far more than he cost us.

And if i remember correctly, the greatest defensive fullback in prem history, kyle Walker, used to cost us points at his his peak. And he seldom earned us points.

I'd be happy with one or 2 superior fullbacks no doubt. But on balance there aren't too many I'll take over just keeping Nunes.

The totality of his play at Right back is a net positive.
