I agree we'd probably have been more keen to lose Kovacic but I actually think considering the make of of the rest of the midfield it wouldn't be the worst idea to keep him around as the backup 6 until Pep is comfortable playing Nico G there. Also think it would be good to remove the temptation to play Bernardo on the right from Pep.

One thing I will say is Bernie is great on the right when he’s got an overlapping full back. We had great success with him there with Walker behind and him and Nunes have looked good together.
