It's Quiet the £250m return

Do we have a sell on clause with Trafford? It might be a card we can play with Livramento. If Newcastle wanted to deal with us on Livramento could we waive a sell on clause to assist them getting him at a better price.
Come to the real world. Why give money away that you don't need to? There are financial rules to adhere to so every pound counts.

His book value is about £35m given he has two years left, anything below that is an accounting loss which we’d obviously be looking to avoid for PSR etc
You are indeed correct. I thought he only had one year left of a 5 year deal at £20m a year. He’s got 2 left of a 6 year deal which = £33.3m we definitely need to get him off the books if Pep doesn’t want to play him.

£36.4m in wages over to 2 years makes me think we might do everything we can to move him on.

Sportswashing is always the point in germany, why City isn‘t accept there.

The irony is, if Germany allowed full ownership and not this 51/49 rule, alongside German organisation and intelligent marketing, they could have a league that could be as big as the PL.

It's in the centre of Europe, the best economy in Europe, the best fans, stadiums and overall fan experience, and a very diverse culture that players from around the world can adapt to.

It's also very player friendly as they have 34 league games, one cup competition, and have 3/4 weeks of at Christmas.

The same real world where Forest spent a fortune on Botafego players, owned by John Textor, while selling a load of players to Lyon, owned by John Textor. While Forest are also objecting to Crystal Palace, owned by John Textor, playing in the Europa League. While Lyon owner, John Textor, pushed to sell Cherki to Nottingham Forest.

The same real world where Newcastle bought Forest’s third choice keeper for £15m and sold Forest their highly rated midfielder for £30m.

They are ways that City can make the purchase of Trafford easier for Newcastle if they were willing to sell us Livramento. Newcastle may owe Southampton a sell on % so deals could be done to reduce both prices. There’s a fair amount of shady dealing on transfers to ensure PSR and FFP compliance.

Aside from being in centre of Europe and best economy, all of those things may not be correct had private owners been allowed.

Honestly I am not sure they will be as big as the PL. I think the biggest reason PL is so popular is because English is spoken all over the world and especially in countries like India which has a huge following primarily because of the language and past history. Sure it will be more competitive than what it is right now but it will never be as big as the PL.

Some sweeping statements there. I would argue Germany isn't as stable these days as you've made out to be.

Politically they're a mess with the far right making loads of inroads & of course immigration a hot topic. Economically they've regressed, partly down to similar to us relying heavily on Russia for energy prior to the Ukraine conflict.

Would also say as a player friendly destination, language is still a barrier & if you were to believe reports from France, Cherki felt it would be easier to learn English than German which formed part of his career decision making process.

Don't get me wrong, I've thoroughly enjoyed my football trips out in Germany & most of the locals I bump into know their football. But I do feel its a rather sanitised & orchestrated atmosphere at their grounds, even with the ultras & their drums & pyros. Whilst you have the same characteristics at Italian football matches, it doesn't seem as sanitised as the German games I've been too. Can't beat their reasonably priced beer & currywurst though!

Ederson has got 12 months left on his contract, if he doesn't sign do you think he gets sold this summer? Surely the club don't want to go into the season with a keeper who will leave on a free next year.

I think he’ll go after the CWC if Saudi bid a decent amount.

They low balled us last year and like you say he only has 12 months left now.

Personally I think Ortega stays.

A lot of noise about Silva and Gundo off to Galatasaray

I'll believe Bernardo is going when he actually goes. There is noise with him just about every offseason. He will probably stay put. I mean he struggled to adapt to Manchester. I can't imagine he will rock up in Turkey.

Difference is we always fought to keep him, no we may be more open to him going. Not sure why you think he wouldn’t like Istanbul.
