Once we know how much we’ve earned from the CWC, it will presumably determine how we cut our cloth, and not just in terms of Gibbs-White.
I know people want shiny new toys but we don’t need anything more this season. It’s gonna be hard enough to shift a few on as it is to comply with champions league rules.
Nunes is good enough in this system as rb. We have options if we wanna go more defensive.
Not against the top teams, that’s the problem it’s not Nunes fault, he played very good against Juve but a couple times he ran towards the ball instead of marking the runner.
He did that last season as well, he’s a midfielder learning he role.
A proper right back watches the runner not the ball, watch Livramento he hardly gets caught ball watching. Heads always on a swivel.

It’s not squad space issue, why Gibbs white isn’t here it’s a money issue. So if we had the money he’d be a city player right now I’m guessing
Or could also mean that we value him at a set price and still have the Livramento deal on the go so extra cash at the CWC may give us enough to pay the MGW fee?

Doubt that. We have loads of PSR headroom and can afford to buy Gibbs-White. If anything it's that our valuations are apart and/or we don’t think we need him as desperately as we once did.

I don’t get this, is it not the ‘£250m’ thread. Surely not about lack of money given what we spent so far, cut in or will cut in wages and earn in CWC and academy sales.

Unless we still want Livramento and MGW and our budget is a bit short but going to the semi final or final will give us some extra cash to do the deals?

I'm guessing it's a quality issue as well. Why pay 70m+ for a player who isn't likely to start in big games? We have plenty of players in midfield and attack.
Bernardo is captain. We ain't benching him or Cherki or Foden or Bobb etc. for MGW, doesn't make sense.

Thought the same but then Bernardo is out of contract next summer , Gundo is out of contract and Kova would have 12 months left. That’s three midfielders 2 that will leave and 1 that will probably be sold.
If you can get a midfielder in now this window you wouldn’t have to get two next summer.
Don’t understand why we haven’t tested Villa for Morgan Rogers with their PSR issues.

So with all this chat of depending how far we go in CWC for monies has anyone considered about potential outgoings that might be in the pipeline that will bring in a few quid?

Livramento was horribly out of position a couple of times the other night against the Dutch. He is good but not without his faults.

It’s a real shame we can’t register 4 of our NHG players. I wonder if they have been told who they are…I doubt it until after the CWC.

We won't be telling players during the CWC that they should leave... Good team atmosphere is key.

Yes but they'd still need to go into the squad this year and we are stacked in midfield as it stands and next year we might bring Nypan back. Couldn’t disagree more. The system we play nunes is more than good enough and if we want to move to a hybrid back 3 then akanji can easily do it. We are more than covered imoThats mental mate. We absolutely desperately need a RB and Nunes is nowhere near good enough to play for us there.

Beenardo could renew, I am not sure we need to recruit for next summer yet.
