It's Quiet the £250m return

Its the mentality of some that have seen it all now so dont care if City win anything ever again now? Our owner and his trusted right hand man want to win in EVERY aspect of their investments but its obvious that both are not just owner and chairman of the club but they have become fans as well and fallen in love with it? Soriano hasnt imo but Khaldoon genuinely loves the club and us doesnt he? Look on instagram at Mansours palace and his memories of his kids all wearing City kits and pictures etc all around his home?
That's not how it works. We should be grateful for these last few years because 26 years ago we were playing Port Vale & Lincoln. How dare you have expectations or want us to continue to be successful

I’m sure a lot of stuff went down that we don’t know about. My statement comes from us having the worst season we’ve had in a decade. 1 win in 14 games. Losing to palace in a fa cup final. The levels dropped heavily. They did let down the fans who would spend their hard earned money travelling to watch football that wasn’t pleasant to watch. Pep would repay his loyalty time and time again to his boys and they didn’t produce the desired results. For instance picking Akanji ahead of Nunes in the FA Cup. We looked toothless.
I wonder what the excuse is for the turn around after the mid-season crash. All kissed and made up?
Bottom line is Pep turned it around and secured CL with his team selections. FA cup we clearly should have won on the day, and nobody would have said it wasn’t deserved.

Record needs to change, season not even started yet. Let’s get all negative when we see Berny and Gundy starting together and Nico sitting on the bench scratching his balls.

You know the make up of the squad for next season isn't complete yet. When the season starts we'll have a squad of around 24, and then we will see who is with the squad and who plays.Or are you basing everything off a summer tournament when we still had over 30 players that showed a lot of good things working better as well as some things that didn't.
The coaches and transfer team will now go away sit and decide who stays who goes and what else needs doing to plan for next season.
That’s what I am hoping for. Just don’t see the hope when certain players start regardless unless it was more of an reward for being consistent over the last few years.
If RM can start 19-21 year olds than city can to.

We are a different City now though? After the last 7 years i didnt enjoy going into games last season expecting to concede goals? I guess my late father and business interests now made me robotic when it comes to winning? My dad drummed into us that life is a competition and we have to win! Same in business, you have to be the best and if your turnover drops from the year before, you have failed and lost and you get hammered for that! This is just a different machine now and the expectation levels are just different and of course we have seen historic moments not juts in our history but english football history but you have to strive to beat them records or you never improve or compete.
So if turnover decreases but profit increases, you’ve lost?

Glad I’m not in business with you mate ;)

That is exactly how usa business's work , on turnover not profit

They grow by acquisition not profit

And are happy to use other people's money to fund their growth

This is exactly what the glazers and Chelsea jim are doing/ trying to do with the rags

When the money runs out they then flog the business and trouser the increased value from the now bigger company ..... even If the business has still never made a profit

Plenty of people want to run things like a business.

Then they find out they're expendable as it affects the bottom line.

That's the part of the Rags's massive layoffs they missed!

Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity!!! I think!!!

If hes signing for Burnley, hes either taking a monumental wage cut, we'd have to be talking somewhere in the region of 80% for it to be viable, in which case fair play to him for doing that and prioritizing playing, or more likely, we are subsidising it heavily.

I'd imagine we're subsidising his wages, something we'll have to do a few times with some of the big earners apparently leaving
