It's Quiet the £250m return

Are our youth teams just there to make money from player sales?
Foden is the only real breakthrough from the youth team. Lewis is never going be a first choice, although with Peps erratic decisions of late who knows. Oscar Boob I thought would get a bit more playing time in CWC but Savinho stayed on for the whole match against Al Hilal. I know he’s coming back from injury but he could have gotten a few minutes.

I can’t see the point in signing Sangare, Nypen, Perrone, Echeverri and Heis. Pep just won’t play them.

Agreed I find this baffling to be honest, our squad planning around the academy players just seems wrong. When you consider we are currently unable to buy a RB unless it is the only suitable home grown option (Livramento), why have we recruited so many foreign squad players in attacking positions? Our academy seems to routinely produce attacking mids/wingers more than anything, surely we would be in at least an equal position had we given Palmer and now Bobb a chance?

Don't think Premier League clubs doing deals with each other is the same as it was ten years ago. Everyone is now effectively a competing rival. Only way I see a new right back rocking up is from outside the league.
Not sure its any worse tbh

Elanga, Madueke moving from teams who finished in similar positions

Even after poor seasons United getting Cunha & Mbuemo from teams above them, and Spurs getting Kudus & MGW

Liverpool getting Kerkez and possibly Guehi....links to Isak or Gordon as well

Garnacho, Rashford, Martinelli getting linked away, potentially to players within the prem...Grealish links are mostly to other prem teams

Rumours are he's been acting like a bit of a tit off field, letting his standards sagg and as a result he's not got the full support of the coaching staff.

We have routinely recruited the very best defenders across England and the world.
JSP literally just won PL2 player of the season, completely unheard of at that level.

In the last several years we recruited the likes of Porro, Kabore and Couto who were all very highly regarded in their age groups at RB. They simply didn’t meet up to the standards. It happens.

Bobb is still returning to fitness from a broken leg FFS, give the lad time
He came on in the previous game so why not 10 minutes in the Al Hilal game? He’s out there he training and he’s got minutes in the previous game so why not when Savinho was a busted flush in the second half.

We seem to give up on our youth pretty quickly- Morgan Rogers, Gittens, Palmer, Harwood-Bellis, Delap, Lavia, Trafford and now MacAtee and perhaps Bobb. Yet Lewis is always there. Puzzling.

It's absolutely bullshit that Bobb didn't minutes against Al-Hilal, It will be even bigger bullshit if we sell him or loan him out.

I’m sorry but I think you need to rephrase your statement to “He should have gotten minutes against Al-Hilal.” It avoids confusion.

1. MGW turns out had a release clause hence, unless it specifies teams out of top half of the table, he was always available for 60m this summer.

2. It is disingenuous to assume West Ham would’ve sold Kudus for a higher fee to us, when we all now they have good relations with City and considering Tottenham are a direct rival to them.
A 100% fair, unbiased, reasoned response on this board? Are pigs suddenly flying? What a breath of fresh air.

I don't know if you are on a wind up or what lol

Maybe just read my post properly, It's really not that difficult.

Next time I post I'll run it past you directly to make sure its OK for you to give me the go ahead.

Cheers.

all this silence on incomings/outgoings is worrying tbh

Not much to worry about! For the first time in a while, we focused on getting the players we want in first and we're only likely to be after a RB now anyway. Lots of time for players to be moved on
