I very much doubt Gala are on Akanji's agenda. Unfortunately for some, he isn't likely to leave this summer, unless a good CL team can match his wages at City and guarantee him a starting place. Anything else isn't likely to make any sense from his perspective. It's not like Pep doesn't play him.

I am not yet convinced by Trafford as number 1, albeit I will back him to the hilt.

I do think though we wanted Livramento as the HG addition but got quoted insane money, and because of it we have moved to get Trafford as the HG addition for £40m and will go for a more affordable foreign option as the right back.

We were never going to pay £80m for Livramento and £60m for Costa.

We aren’t just signing these players becuase their homegrown though. There both class. Particularly livramento who I’d argue will be the leagues best right back over the next few years

They are great targets. Also with Trafford if he’s to replace Eddie would have serious competition in Ortega and if he goes as well you know the club would (try to) recruit like that again.

I think his name has come up because he’s being touted around by his agent. Probably the same with Akanji and the Gala links, if false id guess it’s more his agent trying to drum up a move .
