It's Quiet the £250m return

Might be why we want Trafford?

Jorge Mendes is blocking those interested in Diogo Costa because he does not want to transfer the athlete due to poor relations with the current FC Porto management, as was the case with the Francisco Conceição dossier. It should be noted that in 2024, the super-agent already blocked Fábio Vieira's arrival and used it as leverage to get FC Porto to release Francisco Conceição to Juventus.

I’m no expert but here goes. The maximum squad is 25 and the B list which consists of U21s that have been in the academy for 3 years.
The 25 is 4 club trained that were at the club for 3 years before 21. 4 association trained , the remaining 17 is a free list of players from anywhere.
Yeah, I think I got caught up in the wording on UEFA's website. It's a maximum of 4 AT players plus up to 4 CT and if you have more than 4 CT then the excess count as AT (effectively) until the 8 slots total are taken, then they need to be moved to the 17 open slots. That's ignoring their own U21 rules.

No club may have more than 25 players on List A during the season. As a minimum, eight places are reserved exclusively for "locally trained players" and no club may have more than four "association-trained players" listed in these eight places on List A. List A must specify the players who qualify as being "locally trained", as well as whether they are "club-trained" or "association-trained".

A "locally trained player" is either a "club-trained player" or an "association-trained player".

I must be one of the few who likes Kovacic.

Used correctly and I think he's an asset to the squad. Scored some vital goals last season, too.

I know we can't retain them all.

To be honest, I expected more of a player from Kovacic, considering the high level of clubs he’s played for around Europe.
Sadly my hopes were too elevated, his close passing gives me nightmares, and isn’t good playing deep.
He’s better as an eight, good ball carrier and an eye for goal.
I wouldn’t force him out, but if someone came knocking I’d allow him to leave.

so, if we sell Gundo and Kova then O’Reilly gets a nod for midfield or are we getting another midfielder?

Probably another. If MGW moves to spurs before that happens I doubt it. The club will wait for next season then. Still enough options.

I think we’d have to bring someone in, it’d be too much of a risk when we don’t know how much football Rodders is going to be capable of playing quite yet.

As @waspish said, I think MGW or Wharton would be our best options, get another homegrown into the squad.

There’s a reason he’s always played for high level teams. Technically he’s a great player.

Last year he had injuries, was played out of position and like most of the team was in horrible form at periods. Last year was an anomaly.

He’s a great player.

Dortmund have Bobb on their radar.

#BVB has Oscar #Bobb (22, RA) on their list (not a priority). In the Premier League, the transfer market is only just starting to move. It seems like Dortmund wants to see the first dominoes fall before making their move.
