It's Quiet the £250m return

Keep saying that doesn't make it true, and also completely ignores what Pep said himself about what he learnt about the younger players last season. It also assumes he doesn't want to win or give himself the best players to do it.
He also said he had too many players

Edit: Might be surprising but Khusanov wins 80% of his duels on the ground but he's underatted in the aierial duel success rate of 62 percent and a 92% pass accuracy.
Come on, Khus!
I am irrationally excited by these stats.
Bloody cannot wait to begin.

Do you honestly believe he`s sitting on his arse doing fuck all ? Get a fucking life you daft sod.
No, it was a bit tongue in cheek. Which should be obvious to anyone who has "a fucking life" and isn't daft enough to interpret every sentence written on a forum literally.

hopefully outgoings start to get busy from next week. isnt it Monday when players report back to Manchester? when Pep first sees the full squad again with 30+ players I bet he will talk to Viana to reduce it immediately. :)

Pep wont want to get to the Wolves game and leave players out of the match squad (max 20 players can be named for PL game) especially not his trusted older players but would be uncomfortable to do it to likes of OReilly, Lewis, Khusanov, Reis, Bobb too.

right now we have 34 players which Pep will find issues with. of course this includes likes of Phillips, McAtee, Grealish who likely going, Nypan, Echeverri both could be loaned out. but doesnt include likes of MBete, Wilson Esbrand, Simpson Pusey etc who are also around. Wilson Esbrand is almost 23 yo, I guess we sell him soon?

We currently have 34 players, and that seems like a lot, but the present average in the PL is 31 (mean) 30 (median)

Every club at this time has a big squad as players return from loans and purchases have been made.

Point is…plenty of time.

PS Chelsea have 43!

I don't know if there's any truth to it but there's talk of RM being open to offers for Camavinga, if that's true we need to jump in on that.
Why? What exactly does he bring? Because he plays for Madrid? I feel like he has been the same player for at least 3 years now.
Same with rodrygo they ain’t that good to be a must have.

He's a complete midfield engine, not a goal scoring midfielder but the perfect partner for a player like Rodri, he would be a huge improvement on Nico

Well had you bothered to put a smiley face after your post then you wouldn`t receive such responses. We saw enough of this type of "daft comments" about Txiki with all being aimed needlessly at him with the same sort of comments.

It's almost the end of July, and the club seemingly has not even had conversations with players about who is staying and who is going.

I don't know why these conversations were not had a month ago, let alone 2 months ago at the end of the season. The club did a great job of bringing some players in, but it's clear that the league is now an arms race, and we'd better be prepared to cough up as opposed to standing still on what we have.

Your word seemingly suggests that you are not certain of this. At such times, I choose not to post nonsense that I don't have proof of.

Sorry are you in the loop on such conversations? If not how do you know what’s been said?

I've just read a few posts up that "Lee the blue" thinks Gundo and Akanji are "fireproof" without using a smiley. There is no possible way this could be true since humans are in fact not fireproof, hurry up and tell him off.

Nope, but the fact that we aren't hearing anything about outgoings and it's been three weeks tends to suggest they are still thinking it over.

You would hear stuff from other clubs, players are reaching out to, and stuff would be coming out from somewhere, and there hasn't even been a sound on that, suggesting players or their reps have not been told anything yet.

Does anyone know when Viana comes back from his months long vacation after that one week of working? The season starts in 3 weeks and we have about 15 deals (ins + outs) to sort out.

Well working on the basis that he sorted out about seven deals in that one week of work, by my reckoning he’s good to take another week off, come back to Manchester early August, smash the absolute shit out of 15 deals in a fortnight - and we’ll be all set for the season ahead!
