It's Quiet the £250m return

He's been absolutely bobbins for nearly two years now. I'm not having all this talk of that it's down to the fact of having Nunes or Rico at right back.

Dias had made numerous individual errors, constantly caught out of position and been turned inside out by bang average forward players in the Premier League.

Getting pissed off looking at all these constant selfies in women's clothing or whatever the fuck he's wearing. I've said it a long time now, He's the Portuguese Titus Bramble.

Couldn't care less what people think of the post either, The truth hurts.
He ain’t been great but who has? Also on his summer hols…

We have no time for passengers next season. If his head is somewhere else, Dias will be watching from the bench. Some of his decision making last season was bizzare.

After Trafford we done @tolmie's hairdoo?

Not a bad summer but with Liverpool spending Monopoly money…the team still has a few question marks.

Not sure we have done enough to win the league.

Truth, certainly.

He is being rag-dolled by average Joes, his lack of aerial presence and positional sense has been shocking for a long time now.
He's constantly being called out by other squad members about how much time he spends in the gym, you'd never think it as he constantly gets bullied.

That's a big issue for us when it comes to our current defenders, serious lack of leadership and more so physicality. When the word physicality pops up the first name that springs to mind is Khusanov, he's a serious aggressive defender and it's a joy to see when he's on the pitch as it can't be said for the others.

As you've mentioned already his lack or aerial ability and positional sense, teams have now figured out for a quite a while now that they can leave Ruben Dias on the ball as he has very poor distribution and he's not a danger as he's not able to pass through the lines nor travel with the ball.

There's been talk of a new contract over the last few weeks for Dias which I find really baffling as he's been rewarded for being so poor.

Give over on the Dias hate. Imagine a prime Kompany in a back line with a constantly changed partner, a make shift left back and right back that’s either a midget with no defensive capabilities or a converted box to box midfielder.

Peps high line tactics post Walker bailing the defence out with his pace don’t help him or any of the back line either.

Dias is one of the last players I’d be concerned about. Our worst run of form last season he was injured for the majority of it if I’m not mistaken. He literally went off at half time whilst we were 2-0 up against European Champions PSG in Jan and we ended up losing 4-2. He’s got his flaws but he’s our best CB currently

I'm worried about Dias?

He is loved up, to the point he's posting pictures of himself posing every day or so.

We need him absolutely focused. His form seems to go out of the window every time he's with a new girl?
Glad you said it lol, I know people will say it’s his holiday and life etc but I’m bored of seeing his pictures of himself in designer gear plus the ones with Maya, it’s pretty pathetic really imo.

Good news if true.

Wouldn’t mind another forward.

We should be in for Isak. Once a top player becomes available you enter the battle. Figure out where he can fit in later.
Where does he play? And why would we buy him?

We aren't selling Haaland to accomodate him. You're playing Championship Manager.

Great seeing posts like this every now and then. Fully agree. Wirtz is obviously a game-changer for them, and the same can be said about Isak if they get him. Liverpool will certainly be strong this season, but Alisson is 32, Salah is 33, and Van Dijk is 34. That's 3 players that are currently best in the world at their positions, that may fall off in the very near future.

Behind Virgil, we have the best centerback in the league in Gvardiol. We have the best midfielder in Rodri. And the best striker in Haaland. And to accompany this, we have quality and depth in each facet of the pitch:

In attack, we have two other world class forwards with a chip on their shoulders in Marmoush and Foden. We have an attacking supporting cast of Cherki, Doku, Savio and Bobb who could take the leap to becoming superstars at any moment. All amazing profiles at young ages with massive ceilings.

In midfield, Reijnders looks absolutely ace, and having Nico G as an understudy is phenomenal. Add in the depth of Bernardo, Kovacic, and Gundo and that to me is as good as anyone. Plus we have Echeverri, Nypan, McAtee, and Nico O'Reilly knocking on the door.

In defence, we have a quality new LB that will be eager to prove his worth. Looked great in the CWC. We have Dias who I have no doubts will look back to his best alongside Gvardiol. We have Stones and Ake who are still elite when available, and we have the depth to keep them around for the ceilings they offer. Akanji another lad who is more than capable of playing minutes in certain matches. Add in some of the worlds best CB prospects in Khusanov, Bah, and Reis who could step-in and become world class at any moment. And cannot forget Nunes and Rico. Nunes took a massive step last season, and who's to say he won't do it again when everyone else's form improves? He played a new position and played it to a high level by the end of the season. People here giving City crap for not signing a right back, but the market is thin and I'm sure its not for a lack of trying. How many right backs are available that are truly a step-up from Nunes? That number is much smaller than some on here seem to think. Rico is useful in that he's versatile, and he's still only 20 years old. I don't think he becomes a world beater due to his physical deficiencies, but he can still be an elite player for us. Top lad.

We just signed Trafford in goal to fight with Ederson over the number one. I'm sure he is rearing to prove himself. Oh, and we have Pep Guardiola. We should be excited and optimistic going in the new season. 4 Prems in 5 years, and 6 in 8 years. We are still the giants. Liverpool have their work cut out for them if they want to take the throne.

Bring it on.

Brilliant post. Every word is spot on.

My only concern is a RB. And like my nephew said yesterday - "If we get a quality right back like Livramento then we are full sending it!".

Have a mate who's a Bologna fan and he can't work out why we aren't being linked to Dodo of Fiorentina. He absolutely raves about him and says he's perfect for a Guardiola side, and a perfect RB for the Premier League. (I've not seen any of him).

What’s y’all’s thoughts on Watkins lol … since we play Marmoush x Haaland every game

I thought they were extinct!:)

Not really we have over 30 players now, by the time the season starts we will still have around 25 players plenty of depth and probably the biggest squad we’ve had.
I'd say we need 2 FBs. A RB and preferably one who could play on either side. I highly doubt we'd do that but hoping for a RB at the minimum. I feel people are sleeping on City. They can do that at their own peril...

I don’t think Liverpool spending ‘monopoly money’ should have any effect on what we do. It’s doesn’t mean Liverpool are going to be good either.
