We`ve improved the squad without question but both full back areas were a problem and after fixing the left side which was stronger anyway than the right, its disappointing that the club feel that we dont need to do that final RB transfer.

In fairness, the article itself states that as we have been fluid during the transfer window (changing priority from RB to Ait Nouri, MGW to Cherki) there's still a chance we do go for a RB if the right opportunity presents itself. Probably rules out Livramento mind.

No RB would be a bit disappointing, but apart from Livramento there isn’t really any RBs that would walk into our starting 11. Might as well wait another year and get Livramento or the next breakout RB

I think Nunes is massively underrated anyways. Last season he ended up with 15 G&A, in our worst season in 8-9 years. Imagine what he’d look when we’re back to our best. We won 6 PLs in 7, a UCL, Super Cup etc without a LB, I’m sure we can handle one season without a RB

Except as you know I did.

I'd have liked a right back, but we've improved all over the pitch and I can see both Lewis and Nunes being better than last season with a more stable defence and midfield,and playing next to Rodri.Plus we may plan to use Khusonov there. I certainly don't think it makes or breaks our season.

With what we've got - 3rd/4th place finish and last 16 or at a push QF of the CL is possible.

Winning one of the domestic cups always possible of course with the match winners we have, but that's the ceiling with no genuine right back of any quality at the club.

Rolling Nunes or Rico out there away at Anfield/Emirates/St James/Stamford Bridge et al won't end well I fear.

Josep knows best but let's see if this "no more additions" is true at the end of August once 7-8 players have been shipped out.

Too slow, too light weight, has no awareness of people behind him. Genuinely don't think he is good enough for a club who wants to compete for big trophies.
