It's Quiet the £250m return

What happend to the bullshit "difficult conversations" no sign of anyone being moved on and sounds like were going with the same approach as last season. Trust the experience and pray they dont get injured

They are under contract and top wages they don’t want to go maybe!? Something might happen last week of the window!

I think Nunes and Rico can do a fine job, but Stones will be a welcome presence for sure.
In every team, across the globe, key players need to stay fit.
Gonzalez, Gundogan, Nico O'Reilly.
I think you worry too much - we have one of the finest squads in the PL, if not THE finest.
We will see on Nunes and Rico....Im the opposite on them 2....good enough against some but when it comes to the games that really matter they arent imho.

We have a great squad but it has areas it needs to improve still

Yet we decide to keep Gundogan, Kovacic and Bernardo…….
Bernardo still has something to offer.

As soon as Kova was injured/had the operation then he was always going nowhere

Gundo I would have let go.

Despite our financial power we have most of the time been restrained in the transfer market. We have spent lots, but well.....others have a more scatter gun approach.

I do wonder if its the optics of spending that keeps us slightly restrained at times.

Well Bernardo was named captain by Pep, we’ve read today that Kovacic had an offer from Saudi and both the player and more importantly Pep wants him to stay and Pep isn’t going to push Gundogan out is he?
Have we refused any bids for them or told them they can’t leave? Not to my knowledge.Don’t think we decided anything, in fact think it caught us by surprise nobody has left or shown they want to leave.

Tolmie said despite happy faces at training some serious home truths being delivered last week when squad arrived back to Manchester.

so far it looks like we asked the younger ones like Echeverri, Reis, Nypan tome come into the HR office and delivered them the news: you all need to leave (on loan) lol

still I would be incredibly surprised if all Ake, Akanji, Bernardo, Kova, Gundo remains at City

at this point I would sell Akanji and Gundo, but Pep maybe doesnt want to hear about this.

not even sure what is our starting midfield trio, was on the opinion it will be Rodri, Reijnders and Foden as a a very attacking 8, but then Bernardo is captain maybe its Rodri, Reijnders, Bernardo? then some forward players will not be getting enough starts...

The table in the topic 2025-26 shows that we have a surplus of 5 for the PL squad https://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/2025-26-squad.369055/

Is the data incorrect? I skimmed through it, and it appears OK to me with the exception of the entry for Bernardo which is incomplete.
Yes it is, in the sense Phillips, Kabore, Wilson-Esbrand etc were never going to be registered in out first team regardless.

In our actual playing squad, we are 2 over in the PL, and 4 in the CL. We could of course shift 2 senior players and not register Reis and Ech in the CL, but think we will end up either loaning them out or shifting 2 others from the nhg.

While work does need to be done to find moves for Phillips, Kabore etc, fair enough they aren't part of our first team that is also fair to say.

As I said, I’ve never heard a Scot say we was/wiz. Definitely heard I/ah wis or ah wisnae but that is the first person never the 2nd or 3rd as in we was or classic Manc “Was you?”.

Would you regard “I ain’t done nuffink” any more than just dialectical variation?
No, but I’m not that bothered about standard English. Double negatives can have their place: ‘I didnae dae nothin, PC Murdoch’.
