He’s rated highly within the club.
Unlikely Pep plays him though this season if Kovacic, Gundogan and Bernardo stay though so best if he goes and plays?

Kovacic, Gundogan have nothing to do with whether Echeverri would get minutes next season Bernardo, Foden, Cherki,Bobb,Savinho all do. So yes best if he goes and plays and proves he has what it takes to take Bernardo's place, and maybe Savinho or Bobb next season. Nypan will have the same challenge to come back and take Gundogan and Kovacic's place.Unlikely Pep plays him though this season if Kovacic, Gundogan and Bernardo stay though so best if he goes and plays?
And the "Uncs"?And we move on.
The club have acknowledged that some mistakes were made.
We have a group of new players and a new coaching team.
Time for us to let it go and look forward to cheering a more youthful, dynamic team.
Let that horrible phrase go too.And the "Uncs"?
You were probably one of the people here who always criticized Chelsea for buying players for certain amounts of money to loan them out but apparently they never make any failures. I get it. Must be some type of new shit that you buy players for 30-40M to loan them out because you can’t get them a place in the squad. It’s obviously bad squad management. Yes I know the club never did anything wrong in your eyes and we should all be happy clappers.Mess my arse. Can't wait for the new season and seeing the new squad start to emerge. You obviously think all the management and coaches at City are idiots, that makes you the idiot.
Yeah just saying how it is right now. We don’t seem to be able to sell/ loan certain players and have to get „ rid „ of those who just joined.Your points would be valid had the window already closed. Be patient and lets see what position we are in when it does
Clueless, complete lack of awareness of where the club is and the bigger picture. You were probably one of the people here who always criticized Chelsea for buying players for certain amounts of money to loan them out but apparently they never make any failures. Which phrase? "Uncs"? ;-)Let that horrible phrase go too.
The best need youth and experience. We don't know who will play and who will not, nor who will stay or leave. The window is brewing.
You are doing the same again.Which phrase? "Uncs"? ;-)
Agreed, we don't know who'll play, but you seem quite calm over the fear many of us have regarding our ageing, injury-prone, treble winners, who have declining physicality & don't have the legs to compete over a season at the highest level... Commonly summed up as the "Uncs".
I'd feel a shit load calmer myself if I saw significant movement in moving many of them on. Yes, we have 3-4 weeks of the window to go, but "I'm staying" means "I'm staying" if these players have the contracts to back them up.
We can only have 25, so what do you suggest we do if the Un.... (Sorry), ageing, injury-prone, treble winners, who have declining physicality & don't have the legs to compete over a season at the highest level, refuse to move on?
What then?
We are discussing probably 1 player though, we need 4 to leave to get down to 17 NHG, Echeverri and Reis will be 2 a keeper 3, so yes we could do with one more to leave, alongside Phillips, Grealish and McAtee and the EDS group. Having Kovacic ,Akanji, Stones in the squad is no real issue as we won't need to rely on them they can be good squad players.Which phrase? "Uncs"? ;-)

Exactly this.We are discussing probably 1 player though, we need 4 to leave to get down to 17 NHG, Echeverri and Reis will be 2 a keeper 3, so yes we could do with one more to leave, alongside Phillips, Grealish and McAtee and the EDS group. Not if they are ageing, injury-prone & have failing physicality & legs. They're of little use to us on the treatment table as we've seen.We are discussing probably 1 player though, we need 4 to leave to get down to 17 NHG, Echeverri and Reis will be 2 a keeper 3, so yes we could do with one more to leave, alongside Phillips, Grealish and McAtee and the EDS group. Would defo take him he’s class.Reports coming out of Brazil that we are wanting Paqueta. From a Brazil journalist with 400k followers so not a made up account
It may make sense but very likely not possible.Besides, if we aren't relying on them to play much more than 10/15 games it probably won't be an issue. Not if they are ageing, injury-prone & have failing physicality & legs. They're of little use to us on the treatment table as we've seen.
There's no doubting their previous quality & statuses, but aside from Akanji, I think it's in City’s best interests to move them all on & if possible to bring in a reduced price Lucas Paqueta, who can cover 6, 8, 10 & play right wing. This makes total sense to me.
Huge Argentine media attention on Roma already, so if his intention is to drum up interest in him ahead of the World Cup, then it makes sense. Roma would presumably not be interested if they had no intention of playing him.
So "very likely not possible" doesn't mean impossible? It may make sense but very likely not possible.Besides, if we aren't relying on them to play much more than 10/15 games it probably won't be an issue.
You seem to be neglecting one slight, but all important issue... Squad size. We can only have 25, of which only 17 can be non-HG.You are doing the same again.
Let the past go.
We have much to look forward to.
IMO, you are basing far too much on one season, one riddled with injury and illness.
This season, we clearly will have more options than playing injured players. We have cover, and we certainly won't need to use all of the legendary players in every cup game we play.
You could also focus on the clear direction that the new DOF is providing - the aim is clear.
Anyway, enough from me on this tired subject.
Good luck for the season ahead.
Think you’re confusing wanting a smaller squad than we had second half of last season when 2 players couldn’t be registered with small squad. I expect he’s happy with 24 players . Think we’ll end up with 25 17 NHG 3 HG 3 T and 2 U21s with the main squad. So "very likely not possible" doesn't mean impossible?
As Pep lamented last season, 10-15 games isn't what we need with his preference for a small squad.
Question: Outside of a reserve keeper, do you think we'd buy a player in the knowledge he could only play 10-15 games per season?
If not, & City want to remain at the Apex of world football, why should we keep several ageing injury-prone players with failing physicality & legs in our squad?
Which players specifically stay & who goes?Think you’re confusing wanting a smaller squad than we had second half of last season when 2 players couldn’t be registered with small squad. I expect he’s happy with 24 players . Think we’ll end up with 25 17 NHG 3 HG 3 T and 2 U21s with the main squad.
Is it possible that, as the window begins to close, the clubs help force the hand of a player or two by letting them know they will be omitted from the squad? You seem to be neglecting one slight, but all important issue... Squad size. We can only have 25, of which only 17 can be non-HG.
You're not offering a solution to this obvious & growing problem. "I'm staying" means "I'm staying".
Over to you with who goes or is left out if our legendary players refuse to leave.
