and the injured Kova, Phillips and seemingly Rodri left behind too, not ready probably

Been saying this ....

He is going to pick up niggling injuries for a while. Of course he may not be injured now and they are just not going to play him in a friendly and he gets some more rest time - Pep and the coaches get to test out other players who they need to see together
 
Will be fascinating to see what happens between now and the end of the window with outgoings. We all know Grealish, McAtee, Ortega are on the way out. But even assuming our incoming business is over, we still need to let one foreign player go.

Won't be Akanji, as we'd have kept Reis.
Won't be Kovacic, as we've reportedly turned down an approach from Saudi.
Gundo seems obvious, but Galatasaray have distanced themselves from a deal and he seemingly wants to stay.

Someone's got to go.
