It's Quiet the £250m return

Why would Pep care about signings for the future? Right now he's gone in 2 years, yes he loves the club but he wants to win now. Kova,Gundo,Bernardo even with age are proven winners. Same with the defence. The signings that have immediately played are plug and play players not youngsters.

Marmoush,Reijnders , Ait Nouri they are finished products. Not potential. Gibbs White we wanted 25 year old finished product. Young players need time , older players have the experience and are at their peak now.

So Peps a winner. He wants to win as much as he can. Finished product / older players give you a better chance.
Problem is some of the older players are NOT win now. They are win BEFORE...

Savhnio going is a shock. And I had nothing even mentioned about him ever.

But maybe that means the club can keep Oscar Bobb and Eveheverri around.

I spoke about how it would be one or the other. Between him and Oscar Bobb going out on loan. And how highly Eveheverri was rated internally. So this could well be to keep both of them who the club rate highly.

Mcatee to Forest has always been nailed on. As I said before Mcatee see it as the perfect location for football and to remain close to his family.

Premier league interest in Ortega.

Any news on incomings or are we done?

Insisted on holding on to who?
BP are you the commissioner of the Pep police? I've never seen a situation where EVERYTHING a club does is either NEVER wrong or any failure is never of their own doing. I'll start with Gundogan and Akanji. Bernardo, Kova, Stones, and Ake are more than enough veteran depth...

When did Pep insist they stay as you stated, think you'll find the players themselves decided they were staying ,if they do. If you have a source saying otherwise please share.

Kovacic and Akanji are the ones I find a bit surplus now. I think Bernardo can still play a role and Gundogan can still be impactful albeit as more of a 10. He had a really good game at the backend of last season. A fit John Stones is world-class CB and he’s completely unique as to what he offers. Khusanov is better than Akanji but I suppose Akanji offers extra coverage as Ake and Stones can’t stay fit consistently.

I think 1 maybe 2 from Akanji, Gundogan, Kovacic could be allowed to leave, but it's entirely down to the players. Suggesting Pep is insisting on keeping them as far as I can see is just made up,wouldn't know why some are doing that.

Knowalls and attention seekers perhaps

We can never know until the windows have closed, of course, but in terms of squad development, not only for the coming season but the ones thereafter, we still have too much duplication in certain areas Gundogan/Kovacic/Bernardo and Stones/Ake/Akanji. That 6 would ideally be 4, for me, allowing for the development of others and hence a smoother transition. If it remains 6, then that may yet work for the coming season, but it will have an impact on the transition.

If Pep wants someone out, they are out. One doesn't need to look any further than Grealish. I don't advocate humiliating any of our players, especially, say Gundo, who for me is a club legend or Akanji who by all accounts has been a model professional. But a serious sit down in private is more than OK. The club ALWAYS needs to come first.

If you sell Savinho you need a fast winger. Only one wide player with pace in your team is Doku.
Yildiz, if you have the money. Or Malik Fofana.

I think we knocked back an approach for Kovacic didn't we?
