But I feel like they are two different players altogether. We were linked to Simons as a KDB replacement and now talk of him if Savio goes. Feel like its a different deal to Rodrygo altogether, look how everyone else is spending its like we are finally trying to recruit top players.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic but Savio and Grealish out for Rodrygo and McAtee and lets say Gundo out opens up the space for Simons?

We actually have a very good relationship with Madrid at a boardroom level. We really might get a good deal on this one.

No. His three outfield acquisitions this summer have been astute. However, he’s inherited a poor situation and is now having to make tough calls. The time to judge him properly will be August 2027.
